Enjoyed boutique feel of hotel. Check in was effortless and convenient. Warm feeling in common areas. Enjoyed hotel was not on busy street. Entire hotel including common areas, elevator, Hallway and room were clean and presentable. Thank you

Not quiet what we expected
Opinión escrita el 30 de enero de 2023
The hotel is nice and clean, the rooms were nice just like the online photos and the location is good. Has a nice pool area and the bar has a perfect view of the Hollywood sign. However there were a couple of things that took us by surprise. We were charged $800 for our 8 nights stay as bond, 4x the amount of anywhere else we've stayed. The restaurant attached to the hotel was closed due to rain for 4 of the nights we stayed and there was no other way to get food for a nice meal within the hotel, besides pre packaged rolls and $8 cappuccinos. The rooftop bar has loud music until 2am on weekends and midnight on weekdays, this music can be heard in your hotel room as there's only 8 levels making intrusive and hard to get to sleep. Also we were charged an LA destination fee that we had no idea of as we are international and this was our first time in LA, it was $30USD per night! On top of the high price we paid for our hotel through our travel agent which I thought included all hotel taxes, I was not impressed by this expensive surprise at the end of our stay. The hotel itself is nice but we wouldn't come here again.

Some nice touches but some flaws
Opinión escrita el 29 de enero de 2023
Overall, the tommie had some nice artistic touches and is in a great location, walkable to good restaurants (albeit, the homeless factor is serious, but that's not within the hotel's control and could clean up in the future - just be careful about safety at night). The bar upstairs is a cowboy western theme and has a great vibe and fun atmosphere, very nice service and crowd. The room (a suite) is very small, but that's to be expected in this Hyatt location. The bar is very noisy for 8th floor guests (avoid top floors if you are a light sleeper and it is a Thurs - Sat), but that didn't bother us. The serious flaw in our hotel stay was the breakfast - while the baked goods were fine, the hot food was worse than fast food quality and served in plastic to go containers with fast food utensils... that cost $50 per person. The breakfast is really an embarrassment for Hyatt and it was so bad as to be almost offensive.

Preston the bartender for president!!!! Great place to stay!

Awesome little hotel! The rooms are small but also perfect size and the decor in the entire hotel is amazing. You can tell that every single piece was thought out specifically. It was absolutely beautiful. What really made this hotel incredible was the nighttime bartender Preston. He was AMAZING!! Super funny and very personable, made us feel very welcomed and very taken care of. He honestly was one of our favorite people that we met on our trip. The rooftop bar called the desert spot was so much fun and the bartenders there also were incredible and very talented. The front desk guy named Diamond was very hospitable and very kind! Overall the hotel especially for the price was one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Great place to stay!

Nice newer Hyatt spot in Hollywood

Stayed with my wife & 2 young kids in the 1 bed suite thanks to our Globalist upgrade, great experience with the staff especially Isaiah who checked us in and out thanks to a late 4pm checkout. Rooftop pool is nicely heated, quiet, a little small but this isn't a huge hotel so ideal size for guests. Decor is great, staff too.
