Warm hospitality, great food and dog friendly!
We stayed two nights with our dog on a short trip from the UK to view property. Our room was large and comfortable with a spotlessly clean bathroom. We arrived on a Sunday evening with most restaurants and bars closed but the hotel receptionist booked us into an excellent pizza place - also dog friendly! The hotel staff were all super friendly and really helpful. The hotel was suggested by a local estate agent as being comfortable and dog friendly, and on his recommendation we enjoyed a lovely dinner with great wine. The bar was open at convenient times (unlike much of Loudeac). We were also able to park right outside. Thoroughly recommended.
Excellent
Very warm welcome and recommended a restaurant as the hotels own was closed, the reason being is that in February Loudéac is more of a Mon-Fri town and is quieter at weekends, only three occupied rooms while we were there on a Saturday night, we were told it does change during the holiday season! Room was lovely and clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, even made us fresh crepes. Would definitely stay here again.
Ok hotel, terrible location
Loudéac was closed for business, and it was a Saturday evening, which is mad. Considering this is a "hotel & restaurant" it was very disappointing. The restaurant is only open for about 4 hours 4 days a week, and open even less on the other 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday I think). So, as it was Saturday evening and the restaurant was closed, we walked around Loudéac looking for a place to eat but everywhere was shut, so we ended up driving to a Mcdonalds but stopped at a very busy but very good Buffalo Grill (which I do recommend) instead. Otherwise, the hotel and the room were OK, clean and modern enough, and I had a great night's sleep.
Excellent
After booking another local hotel and having to move because that one was filthy , we arrived late at Hotel des Voyageurs but the staff were extremely helpful and the meal in the restaurant was excellent . Breakfast was also very good and very good value . All in all I would definitely rate this hotel very highly and stay there again !
Lovely
Arrived late afternoon. Welcomed by lovely young lady on reception. Had a walk around the town, which was very quaint, but had booked in to the hotel for our evening meal, which I have to say was one of the best meals of our trip! We were really, pleasantly surprised. The hotel looks small from the outside, but it is actually quite large. The room, again, was small, but I think this is normal in France. In UK we tend to get a bigger room, but the room was modern, clean, beautiful clean bathroom. Would like to say a special thank you to Ameli. She looked after us beautifully.
