Nice one night stay
We booked one night to break up a long road trip. Nice warm welcome on arrival. Room was very small (think New York size) but well appointed and quiet. Loved the little old fashioned they served at 17:33. Still wanting to know what kind of bourbon they used! The bar was hopping and we stopped after dinner for a lovely glass of wine after dinner. Wished we would have eaten dinner here as the food looked amazing. We would definitely consider staying again if in the area
Brief, but nice stay
We stayed here overnight to break up a road trip and I am glad we did. Very friendly service. The beds were comfortable and provided a sound night’s rest. The room was clean and I’m a fan of the decor. We plan on returning for a longer stay when we are in the area again.
Great Stay
The hotel was spotless! From Check in to Check out, was a breeze. I had a terrible 4 night stay down the street at 21C so when I checked into Hotel Distel I was elated at the friendliness of the staff and how helpful they were. I stayed for 5 nights. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The nightly bourbon toast was a nice touch. There are 2 outside drinks/dining areas in the hotel along with a very nice steak restaurant. I had a chance to eat/drink at all 3. I loved the options and being able to sit outside.
If trying to book is any indication...
I realize that we were in a lockdown period but as things are opening up I found trying to contact this hotel very difficult. The phone number they provide has you reach a recorded message which then directs you to another phone number where you can leave a message and be called back within 24 hours. Well, that doesn't seem to be a highly motivated response time but, oh well... Anyway, when I tried that number the voice mailbox is full. Doesn't seem to well managed and clearly they're not working too hard to engage future guests and bookings.
A bourbon lovers delight
This hotel is the toast of Whiskey Row. The staff was both friendly and efficient. Luxurious room with a beautiful view, the sofa was the perfect place to sit and sip a bourbon while watching the sunset.
