A lovely hotel with courteous staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. A good breakfast spread. Close proximity to the Lourdes Basilica and other tourist attractions. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Few minutes drive from the railway station

Cosy, clean and convenient hotel

Reviewed 17 september, 2019

Centrally located less than a kilometer from the Sanctuary/Grotto. A lift is just around the corner from the hotel which will bring straight down to the main street. There were four of us and we had two rooms -- a family room with four beds and a single room with one double bed. My granddaughter was not feeling well the next day and since our train back to Paris did not leave until late in the afternoon, we asked to extend one of the rooms and paid for the additional time. The request was received well and handled very efficiently by the people at the front desk -- I think it is the owner and her son. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were also very spotless with good strong hot water. They served a filling and tasty buffet breakfast -- cereals, fruits, bread, cold cuts and eggs plus coffee and juices. Very good value for money. The sanctuary/grotto is a ten minute walk away. If you're attending the evening procession, the lift closes at 11:30 so try to catch to save an uphill walk to the hotel.

A Threating Customer Service

Reviewed 6 september, 2019

I checked into the hotel with my parents. Our room was provided with a shower on a bath tub. I requested a change of room with a normal shower as my mother could not climb the bath tub. An middle aged reception lady declined and said that they didn't have a room with a normal shower. What pissed me off was that she went onto lecture me that I should have known before hand and requested accordingly. In all the hotels that I have visited we have had normal showers. She said i could pay for an extra room that a normal shower which obviously i didn't not want to do. I then requested her if she had a stool so that my mother could climb on that and then climb onto the bath tub. She replied curtly "NO". I mean what is this customer service. She just was not willing to compromise and that is what is so upsetting. To top it all, a muscular guy working at the cashier and at the breakfast area, hearing the commotion, comes upto me and starts literally threating me for staring an argument. He lectures me that I should have known before han and was shouting all the time. We decided to vacate the place. We asked for a refund which they gave and we left. The people at the reception have no decency and human dignity.

A clean hotel with good buffet breakfast

Reviewed 2 september, 2019

Located very close by to the Grotto I strongly recommend this hotel. Very clean and the staff is extremely helpful. Good buffet breakfast with easy access to the Grotto through a street level lift just up the road. Very centrally located to all other attractions.

Unhygienic poor Maintained Hotel

Reviewed 28 august, 2019

Upon checking the reception staff was very rude and unpolite. The Linen/Bedding was dirty with blood stains and pillows are worn out. there is no Aircon the in room during summer month its very hot. When you complaint on the room the reception said this is all we can offer take it or leave it. Since we were a family of 11 and 3 rooms were booked and payment was already done could not cancel the booking. We had requested for double room and was given 3 single room and I had an infant with me. and after joining the 2 single beds it was inconvenient for the infant to sleep in the center. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone. They dont allow you to even eat in the room which is bought from the restaurant. specially when you have kids and travelling as family very strange set-up.
