More about the hotel
Friendly staff and nice breakfast
I'd like to thank the staff for a very nice stay in their hotel. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was pretty good too! The hotel is quite a walk from the Grotto but there is a public transport bus within walking distance. I'd suggest that the hotel is not suitable for frail people but for able people it is perhaps a 15 - 20 min walk to the Grotto. I hope to return here God willing. Once again, thank you to the very nice staff for making me feel welcome! My room was fine and had a nice TV and shower.
Excellent value for money
Hotel Sainte Catherine was really nice. Antoine, the concierge was very helpful. Hotel is about 10 mins walk to the Grotta and parking is very secure and guarded across the road. Breakfast is nice and only costs 6 euros. All you need to get you going in the morning with fresh juice, toast, ham cheese and croissant. The coffee is really good too. Great value for money and would definitely go back there
An average hotel who could be better!
Sainte Catherine hotel is a nice looking hotel. The room size was good but the wall are too thin and it isn't easy to get a good sleep! The only good host was the man at the desk, wich gave us a warm welcome and some very good advices and tips to visit the area. The other two hostesses weren't welcoming and had no customer service skills and didn't look happy to carry out their duties! Overall, it was average but ok for one night only.
Hotel Accomodation
The service in the hotel was good with safe security entry for htel residents returning late. The room was clean, tidy, airy and adequate for me.there are not much ammenities nearby the hotel, but a 5-10 minutes walk takes you towards the river, restaurants and the main town. The staff were very helpful and friendly in every way.I liked my stay in the hotel.
Close to Grotto
The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to the Grotto, our main reason for this trip. We paid $54.14 per night for two nights. Bed is good for a couple. Room is too small for comfort, especially with our two suitcases, two carry-on luggage, and a backpack. It has an outmoded elevator with a small room which barely accomodate me and my wife, along with our baggages. Worse, the light went off and left us in total darkness upon reaching the 3rd floor and the elevator's door wouldn't automatically open. There is no phone inside the elevator to call for help. I had to push the door to open it. The nice sole hotel staff said she would report the incident. No AC unit only heater. The hotel sells only breakfast, as it is out of season. The hotel is clean and looks nice outside.
