Spend there 2 nights mid of February. The location is on a quiet backroad at the Namkahn river with stunning views (bamboo bridge). The service was outstanding good. Highly recommend staying in this authentic hotel.
Outstanding Service
I can not speak high enough of the level of service Junior provided my group. Thank you! The location is the best of the Namkhan river near the restaurants and activities. The rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. Loved the terrace and the tables and chairs provided where an outstanding breakfast was served and where we had cocktails each evening. The hotel is on the main road but you do not hear the traffic in the morning or evening, watch the monks go by or children playing.

Good point. 1.Excellent location close to loads of good restaurants and night market. 2.Helpful and friendly staff. 3.Good view, you can see Namkran river and bamboo bridge. Weak point 1.The rooms have no window and the big doors don't have curtains, if you want privacy you need to close everything. 2. Great views
Two couples stayed here on holiday and the family running it (mainly the 2 brothers) were great at making us feel welcome. We booked taxis and tours without any problems. Luang Prabang is very walkable and Golden Lotus is in a prime, central location overlooking the Nam Khan river and just a short walk to the Mekong river. Breakfast on the balcony outside our room was very nice. The room is spacious. It’s a short walk to the night market and there are lots of restaurants to choose from. Make sure you try the O Lam soup in town. It’s unlike anything I have ever eaten.
Very good location but toilets need some improvements
The hotel is located next to the alms giving street. Very convenient location to the main street, night market and all othet tourist points. The rooms are nice but decoration and toilet wise need improvements. Staff were nice and polite.
