More about the hotel
Old city's Scandinavian success story with all the comforts of home!
A cheerful and small well coordinated modern hotel with all the comforts of home and a welcoming and warm staff, situated by the beautiful Gothic Marienkirche... The colors are cool and Scandinavian, but there are skillfully placed fresh flowers, good art work on the walls, a utilitarian but user friendly bathroom, comfortable beds and a delicious fair trade breakfast.
An idyllic stay in a wonderful hotel
Words cannot describe how much care and thought is put into this hotel. From the kind attentiveness of the staff to the exquisite breakfast, I cannot praise the hotel enough. A great location in a beautiful town.
Excellent and well-situated hotel
We stayed here for two nights on a cycling tour. The hotel stored our bikes securely for us during that time. Our room was comfortable, a good size with a good bathroom. The hotel does not do evening meals but the breakfast was really excellent - a wide range of meats, cheese, fruits and breads/pastries and excellent coffee. Staff were efficient and helpful. Would certainly stay there again.
Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great location
It was recently remodeled. Great breakfast. Free parking right across the street at Marienkirche. The hotel is close to everything in the old city. Good running along the river and canals 2-3 blocks away. Only negative is that church bells ring all night. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
Cozy in Every Way
This spot is the perfect place to base yourself when exploring Lubeck. It's in the Old City, and an inexpensive cab ride from the train station. Very comfortable beds with fluffy duvets and pillows. Breakfast was a vast array of salmon, fresh berries and fruit, different types of breads, yogurt, meat....the list goes on and on.
