Casa Cavalli

How special to stay in a beautiful palazzo that has been part of the Cavalli family for more than 100 years. You will be greeted by the owners, who are very welcoming and helpful. Located in a pedestrian only area in the centre of Lucera with views from the balcony to the duomo, Casa Cavalli is quite charming. Such a great location for exploring the alleys and piazzas of Lucera. Very close to good restaurants and bars. We parked for free in an area only a couple of minutes walk to the palazzo. We stayed in a grand suite with a comfortable king sized bed, a huge bathroom and two big floor fans that helped in the summer heat. Just be aware if you are a light sleeper, there are bars and restaurants right underneath you and in our case, people were still eating and talking at 2am, which is the Italian way (but there was no music). Without the balcony doors closed, it would be very loud. This didn’t spoil our experience of our stay.

During our trip to Italy this Summer, my husband and I had the luxury of staying at this beautiful bed and breakfast. Staying at Casa Cavalli allowed us to experience accent Italy at its finest. The bed and breakfast is beautiful, with its antique bedrooms and painted artistic ceilings. The rustic authentic Italian feel located in the heart of the Piaza. We spent our evenings enjoying the cities nightlife located right outside of the font door. The owners where lovely and made us feel welcomed and at home. We are already planning our next trip to Italy and look forward to staying here again.

The hotel is very well located right in the centre of Lucera. The building is impressive! I found it quite comfortable and the breakfast was good. It is in a pedestrian area so that I parked the car on the street (free of charge) about 10 min walking. The owners were really nice and friendly. I highly recommend it and will stay there again if I visit Lucera in the future.

Casa Cavalli B and B , Is a wonderful old and spacious palazzo that hosts a real breakfast and good coffee. The owners are real people with family lives and take good care of you while you are with them. The location is verry special, across from the Duomo and Lucera is all around you to discover. I would highly recomment you not try to drive up to the place though with a car. You will need to park just outside the pedestian area only and walk into the piazza first. Entering into it will result in a fine. Enjoy!

The house was charming and the location wonderful directly across the square from the Cathedral. The the host was very warm and welcoming. Unfortunately we were not warned when we booked, that the night we arrived there was to be a music festival held in the square immediately below our bedroom window. As they were setting up and testing the sound system we quickly realised we could not tolerate the sound levels even with all windows closed. It's was an extremely hot day and the rooms are not air-conditioned, meaning we would have to open the shutters to survive. Other concerns were that the windows which opened onto a common balcony could not be locked and the lock on our room door was not very secure. Suggest not visiting in hot months and check for festivals first!
