This 4 star hotel is located in the city centre of Lucerne and was established in 1836. It is close to the Kapellbrucke and the nearest station is Lucerne. The Hotel has a restaurant, a bar and a conference room. The Restaurant Des Balance serves excellent French and Swiss cuisine and features a river-side terrace. There is also a casual lounge and a piano bar at the Hotel des Balances. All rooms are equipped with minibar, hairdryer and safe. Most rooms offers views of the Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and the Weinmarkt square.

Friendly staff. Best sleep we had over our whole Swiss tour. Excellent breakfast. We can’t wait to go back and definitely plan on staying here anytime we visit Luzern. The river view is breathtaking:)

The hotel des Balances is ideally positioned in the old town of Lucerne with direct access to the river. Clos by the train station and the piers to boat rides on the lake. The personnel was very welcoming and the service impeccable. The food at the hotel restaurant was outstanding.

We enjoyed our time at the Hotel des Balances. The room was clean & modern, we loved the view of Old Town, and appreciated that we could bring our dog along. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and we loved the complimentary welcome drink & chocolates upon arrival. We opted for hotel valet parking, which for us was worth it to not have the hassle of locating a garage. Driving to the hotel can be a bit tricky, but the hotel provides directions - follow those directions rather than relying solely on your GPS. Recommend this hotel and would stay here again! You get what you pay for ;)

Comfortable beds, thoughtful amenities, friendly and helpful staff, we dine at the hotel restaurant and the menu was amazing with great service, also opt for the breakfast buffet to enjoy the lakeview (from the inside, was too cold to sit outside), fantastic location to access to main attractions!

Stayed at Balances for 2 nights and found it to be an excellent experience. Staff very helpful and friendly throughout, Hotel was up to excellent standards, the chocolates delivered to our room before bed was a beautiful treat. the decor of the rooms is classy and elegant. The jacuzzi bath of the junior suite is a perfect way to relax after a days exploring of Luzern. The restaurant is one of the best I have eaten at in Switzerland, the food is delicious, service friendly and the piano player was a beautiful touch. Overall, would really recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a break in Luzern.
