A comfortable hotel, centrally located within easy walking distance of all major attractions, the train and boat stations and restaurants. My single room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good selection. Friendly and attentive staff. All in all, it was a great place to stay for a few days on a city break.

Stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and it was a great hotel. Today is a run-down old hotel in a beautiful historic building. Very old and uncomfortable mattresses, ripped and stained linens and beat-up old furniture pretending to be classic .Find another option!

We so enjoyed our stay at this quaint historic property. The room was spacious, clean & comfortable. The location was perfect! A very short walk to the Chapel Bridge, shopping, dining and more. If you are looking for a unique property in a wonderful location, book this hotel!

A Great Way to Start a Tour.

What a fantastic hotel close to many of the interesting features of Lucerne. This old and quirky inn is a labyrinth of fascinating pieces of furniture and artefacts. Our room, 212, was very large and comfortable with a separate dressing area and large bathroom. There was a walk in shower and a shower head over the full size bath. The toilet was separate and there were two sinks. A good selection of toiletries and other items were supplied. Breakfast was very good with a typical selection of continental items and limited hot choices. The service was very good and friendly. Complimentary tea and coffee are available from a coffee maker on the second floor. The location is excellent for many of the iconic places in Lucerne. There is a large variety of places to eat and a good range of shops. At the station there is an underground mall with a range of fast food venues as well as a well stocked and reasonably priced Co-op. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary beverages from a coffee maker are available on the second floor. We had a wonderful time here and would recommend it for its location to the river, the station and many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. There is also an excellent variety of fast food venues in the mall by the transport centre, as well as a very well stocked and reasonably priced Co-op.

Everything was exceptional except the bathtub. It is so high and getting in and out of the bathtub is very difficult. I would have been very scared to take a shower if I was the only one staying in the room. Please change the bathtub, make it easier to get in and out of, and put a shower curtain or a shower door that closes the bathtub completely. Also, can you please provide pillows that are firm? The pillows are too soft.
