We booked last-minute when something fell through. The price was attractive to us. The room was clean enough. The bed was comfortable enough. The receptionist was friendly enough. Everything was pretty average for a privately owned hotel like this. But this place stuck in my mind as adorable and capable of such potential! The rooms were like tiny houses. Ours (#15) had a front door and a back door and we had openings to the outdoors on three sides (front window, side window and back door with a screen). The space wasn't furnished well; things were in awkward places and the pieces didn't fit. It was hard to lay in bed and see the TV. I wanted to rearrange the room and redecorate it to be as cute as it was in my mind. Sad. If I had the money and the desire, I would buy this place and make it adorable with lighter paint, furniture and Dutch features! There were wrapped toiletries and cups, but the cups cracked and fell apart as if they were old. There was a microwave and a fridge (and someone left a bag of shredded cheese in it, ewww).

Large, but uncomfortable bed. Tiny/cramped bathroom. Inoperable hair dryer. Insufficient lighting. Inoperable television. Hot water only tepid. No extra bedding (blankets, pillows). Uncontrollable heating (no thermostat - fixed setting radiators); not warm enough for us. Lobby coffee not started/ready even at 0900. Musty/moldy smell. Only stay here if nothing else available in vicinity and only if room charge around $20, since that's all it's worth.
don't think about stayin here

this place is in need of new management or owners! Spent 1 night there simply because it was late finding a place after crossing the border from Canada. They rented a room to us stating it was room 15. When we got there the door was open. Turns out it was rented already, they meant room 16. Went to room 16 and when I reached for the light there was no cover on the switch. I pointed this out to the front desk when I checked out, and they already knew it was missing! Just $1.50 for a new cover. It was a simple thing but irritating. Also, the bathroom window was unlocked & did not have a shade or curtain, nor was the glass the type to prevent someone from seeing into the room.

The owners seemed pleasant enough, but check in was slow. Reception area very musty under the corner windmill, and I don't know how they work in there - I hope they get that fixed for their own health and immediate reaction to the place. I had the dog room and I get it that often these are plainer rooms at a lot of hotels, but it was really visibly dirty. Even the curtains were stained and edged with dirt. Need to deal with that. They also had housekeeper problems, and prepared my room in 5 minutes, so I was pretty unsure about the cleanliness. The shower was done with disinfectant and there were pools of it in the soap cups - pretty dangerous when that is where I put a facecloth. There are some unkind reviews about the live-in mobile home people. They were quiet, and responded to a friendly hello. I hope this hotel cleans the rooms properly and keeps trying, because it could be a pretty nice, lower end cost place to stay. Circuits were overloaded, so I hope they can update that - its not easy.
Amazing spot in a beautiful town.

I absolutely loved the Inn. The staff is friendly and personable. The rooms are clean and updated. We stayed with our family of 5 and the room was NOT crowded. I will be visiting again real soon when we are in town.
