More about the hotel
Nice hotel
This hotel was clean and the rooms were great! Complete kitchen with dishwasher, fridge(large) microwave, sink and dishware. The room was modern, bed was very comfortable and little to no outside noise. LOTS of places to plug in phones, tablets etc. The only downside would be the service. The clerks were lackluster and unhelpful. We were not impressed with the look of breakfast but did not eat so we can't say how it tasted. Limited selection of cereals and a microwave egg dish did not appeal to us.
Very disappointed 😞
Drive up from San Antonio,TX to see our daughter compete in the final NCAA XCountry run. When we arrived at the front desk our front cashier was very snobbish and had a very disdainful attitude. When he had me sign for the bill it read $114 so I said it's wrong our email says 109. He responded with condescension and arrogance and said the 114 was with tax etc. I then responded that the email said TOTAL 109. I assume the 114 was a total total. He then with his snotty remark said the 114 was for incidentals and rolled his eyes. Listen, had he just patiently and kindly explained this it wouldn't be a problem. He made it seem like it's only a few dollars and I was wasting his time. Well, I apologize for not knowing how hotels operate and not being of the right social status. I just can't afford to be nickel ed and dimed. I'll entire evening experience was awkward and uncomfortable because I had to run past the front desk to go to our car and Mr. Kevin Fitzpatrick Assistant General Manager was their to snobblishy not make eye contact. It ruined our entire stay their that was suppose to be an exciting time.
Not too happy happy with our suite
The GM/Mr. Allen did compensate us on a portion of the payment for our total stay. With that said, here are the issues we ran into with the Suite we stayed in: 1. Before check-in I asked for a suite closest to the fire exit but was not informed that would change the rate I was give when the reservation was made. 2. Multiple Carpet Stains 3. No Pot holders; 4. Low on Paper Towels and no Refill; 5. No extra guest pillows when there were three guests identified when the suite was booked; 6. Desk clerk did offer another room however the HVAC had a heavy mildew smell when it was turned on. 7. Crumbs on dining table, chairs, & floor 8. Stained/Sticky/Soiled-doors, walls in dining area, bathroom, dining area & bedroom baseboards -- We cleaned all this with our own personal products since housekeeping was gone for the day. 9. HVAC in bedroom only blew cool air but outside temp was 28 degrees when we checked in -- Maintenance was called and he did fix the bedroom HVAC
Overall a good experience
I really like having a kitchenette with a larger fridge. It is in an excellent spot for the Louisville area. The wife and I didn’t care for the free breakfast, but plenty of people seemed happy enough with it
Impressive rooms
The room had a king bed, sofa, ottoman, desk, and kitchenette. Very spacious and with enough lamps to feel more like home than most rooms. Highly recomend. The grab and go sandwiches in their complimentary breakfast was something I had not had before. It was a great way to start the day.
