Lovely staff, great food and plenty to do for the kids, but let down by the condition - especially the room

Firstly, the staff are fantastic: especially the staff who work with the kids. So friendly, nothing too much trouble and they all went above and beyond to help make the kids' stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. There was lots for the kids to do, including arts and crafts, a play room, swimming pool, arcade etc. And the food was fantastic, both the breakfast and the dinner. Drinks were expensive though. What really spoilt the place though was that it was all pretty tired. The front of the building has had some money spent on it but a recent and sizeable damp patch has subsequently appeared in the bar area which hasn't been repaired, and it kinda ruins the new look. And as you progress further towards the rear of the building it just gets more and more tired, with a broken window in the arcade (held together with tape) on prominent display in the corridor on the way to the rooms. This tiredness eventually culminated in the room itself which you can see in the photos. On our 2nd day, the men's changing rooms flooded with human waste as one of the drains backed up. To my surprise, staff didn't immediately close the room and continued to allow customers to use it, although it _was_ closed the next day. And according to one staff member this wasn't even the first time it had happened. I'd visit again for a meal in the restaurant because the food really was great and I'd take the kids there for the day for some activities with the awesome staff, but I think it needs some investment before we'd stay there again.

Excellent Hotel

Attended a sixties week end. Ample free parking, good Wifi. Clean rooms. first class buffet breakfast. one of the best hotel gyms. Walking distance to the beach and shops. Everything great except bar prices.

Great Hotel

I enjoyed a 2 night stay DBB with my 2 children and my dad. We all had a fantastic time. Lots to do for the children and the singer providing the evening entertainment in the Indigo bar was fabulous. Special mention to Stefania D'Orazio in the restaurant who simply made our stay ! She went above and beyond. She was very attentive , welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Hope to see you again soon!

Relaxing Stay

We booked a three night stay here for the first time. Arrived ahead of check in time. We parked up and although we weren't expecting to check in they said we were welcome to check in as our room was ready. Our room when we found it ( I spent three days getting confused in the corridors!!) was really pleasing. We had booked a double room but were given a very large family room. No sea view but had a nice big balcony with sliding doors, bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower. Everything was immaculate. Comfy bed. There was a bit of noise from outside which we assumed was a lift going up and down but it kept going all night. It didn't really effect sleep though. Breakfast was great, no stress and the food was of good quality and constantly refreshed (help yourself buffet) . We didn't eat any other meals at the hotel. The bar prices were ok and we caught a couple if young lads playing live in there that were good. The Spa area was really good and spent lots of time there. We were worried as we hadn't realised it was half term but we sussed the busy times and worked around them. The staff from what I could see at the hotel were an absolute credit to the hotel and all worked really hard. The building seems to have a few things going on. Many of the toilets in the public areas were out of order but other than that, I cannot fault the place at all. We had a lovely time and are looking forward to booking again for later in the year.

A big thankyou to all staff at the Delmeny hotel for a wonderful night away to celebrate my daughters 40th . Staff went above and beyond . Reception , Alisha in the restaurant , Sam on bar area and breakfast , childrens club , can’t thank you all enough. See you all again very soon
