Hotel is trying to extract revenue

I stayed at this hotel for a trade association meeting in Maastricht. I had to book through the meeting reservation service. The terms of conditions specifically read, “Cancellation is free of charge if you cancel before 13:00 p.m. on the day before arrival. If you cancel or change your reservation within 24 hours before arrival or during your stay; the first night will be charged. If you do not check-in on the booked arrival date your room will automatically be cancelled for the entire period.” I left the hotel after the first night as Holland was in lockdown due to government restrictions and I was getting nothing out of a half filled meeting. I of course paid for the first night. Hotel billed me for all three nights even though the terms clearly say, they will only bill for first night of you change during your stay. In addition, hotel services were limited. Hotel hasn’t been renovated in years. Services was awful. Lastly, I am a Spire IHG club member and was treated incredibly bad. Given the smallest of small rooms and essentially had my status ignored. I would avoid this hotel at any cost!
Best choice to combine business and pleasure

My experience at the CP hotel in Maastricht met completely my expectations and beyond. We have chosen this location to organise a 3 days business event combined with evening entertainment for our guests. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the service and the friendliness and professionalism of all staff. A special thank to Quin (sales manager) Bianca, Justies (facilities) Jason and Sam (restaurant team) for making my job really easy and the stay of my guests and friends memorable. See you soon for sure

This hotel accepted our reservation and full payment. It then cancelled our reservation without notice and even denied we had a reservation. Our reservation number and cancellation number were also deleted from the systems. Fortunately, we had all our confirmed reservation emails and raised this issue numerous times directly with the hotel. Despite promising to do so numerous times, the hotel has not refunded our money. Although the hotels emails were courteous in their emails, they failed to follow through and send through a refund. The hotel appears to adopt a policy of wearing you down rather than resolving the situation. The parent group was no help. As frequent travellers, we expect better. We will not stay at any of the groups hotels in the future. Book at your own risk.
Worst experience ever

This is an old fashioned and very outdated hotel from the seventies, which should have been renovated a long time ago. No Espresso coffee machine, empty mini bar, no snacks, no amenities. No indoor swimming pool. Bar closed, no drinking facilities after 22.30. The double glazing is old, leaking and certainly not sound proof. On top of that, I couldn't sleep because of a shrill sound, probably caused by a generator or air conditioning unit on the roof, so I had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Comparing to a lot of Crowne Plazas I have been staying at in China and Asia, this hotel is certainly not meeting the Crowne Plaza and/or IHG standards. Even the Holiday Inns in China are offering better rooms and more facilities. I can only advise this hotel to be renovated immediately, or it might be a better idea to demolish the property and built a great new hotel at this spot.

This hotel had the absolute worst cleaning of any hotel I have ever experienced, and I am a frequent traveler. The bed sheet was filled with pubic hair and urine stains. Unfortunately, we were out until late in the evening and we did not notice how disgusting the room was until in the morning in daylight. My wife and I became sick just at the sight of what we slept on. It was obvious the sheets under the main cover had not been cleaned in a long time and with the multiple urine stains all over it, it was unreal. It was so bad that my wife had to throw up. We actually slept on that bed!!!! We are thinking of suing, especially during a time like the current situation in the world with the pandemic, this isn't just disgusting, it was dangerous!! The hotel staff apologized and gave us half off on our fee after I showed them the video footage, the pictures, and the room! But they should have made it free and gave us free rooms for life, it was so bad. But even with free rooms for life I don't think we could stay in their hotel again. The cleaning manager was rediculous and he didn't seem surprised at all and his reaction of total uncaring said everything to me. He just kept saying the same line over and over again, 'I hope your next stay is better.' WTF was that for a line? What about the current situation?! Stay away from this hotel if you value your life during this pandemic. The pictures attached dont show the full scope due to the lighting but the video I have is clearer on the issues. Just sickening.
