Hotel Holla

Maastricht is fun. Good bars and restaurants. Our hotel was a nice pick from a huge selection. They offer a nice breakfast and lunch. At night the bar changes in a cocktail bar. Great staff. Be careful with choosing your room. Don't take the rooms (f.i. nr 2) with a street view. Maastricht at night can be a bit noisy.

Hotel is very old school. Still use the regular key instead of the electronic cards. You leave the key at the front desk every time you head out. Room seems a bit run-down and old. Since I don’t spend all my time in my room, it’s not a big deal because all the necessary amenities are there. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is perfect. Breakfast is standard European continental stuff. Nothing amazing but relatively cheap. It would appear that this place is independently run by a family rather than being part of a hotel group (I could be wrong). Rooms are located on top of a restaurant and cocktail bar. The restaurant food and cocktails are quite good. Not out of this world but definitely above average. Restaurant stop serving after 8pm if I remember correctly. Cocktails are served until late. Should note that there is no elevator here. It’s not a big issue for me but for others who may have problems with heavy luggage, you may want to ask for assistance from the hotel staff, as the steps on the stairs are a bit narrow and felt a bit steeper than normal.

We had a lovely 2 Day stay at Hotel Beez and look forward to returning. Ideal location for exploring Maastricht. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly . I have a small mobility scooter and they were lovely about storing it downstairs and charging it for me. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable The breakfast was a continental buffet which we enjoyed and the coffee was delicious. We eat in the restaurant and the food was well cooked and well presented. The hotel is in an area full of restaurants and bars so there was some noise. Our room was at the front and I am usually a bad sleeper but the noise was ok. It is NOT a modern hotel with lots of facilities, elevator and air con but it is a lovely old building in a beautiful area owned and run by some of the nicest hotel staff we have experienced

We had a very warm welcome at Hotel Beez and loved the fact the hotel was centrally located. The room was clean, the breakfast was good. Two downsides however: the mattresses were horrible and there is no elevator. Then again, the great service made up for it.

This hotel is not suitable for disabled people as there is no lift. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are above a cocktail bar, but you do not hear any noise, as you have to go through a fire door to get to the rooms. Room 5 was basic but large with a wash basin, the shared toilet and shower room was just outside the door. Breakfast is the usual continental breakfast, but they served the best cup of coffee that I had in Maastricht. It is a 5 minute walk to the Andre Rieu concert. It is approx 15-20 minutes to walk to the train station, but there are bus stops outside the hotel, and staff can advise you of the bus to get.
