More about the hotel
good hotel, but a little bit far from Odakyu line station
awesome hotel if you use JR Machida station. excellent amenity and hospitality. single room is following the roominess of Japanese standard, means tight. nice breakfast, and you can find bunch of restaurant/Izakaya near the hotel. bed is a bit firm.
Good location, worn down room, very hot
My standard room with a double bed was pretty worn down. The room is decent size in Japanese standards (not tiny but small in American standard). Bathroom is quite small but clean. Carpet was strained pretty badly. Some stains on the walls. Furniture is very worn down. I should have paid more attention to other reviewers' photos and gotten a more premium room. The room was also extremely hot and I couldn't lower the temperature on the thermostat. Breakfast buffet is very convenient. Public areas such as lobby and restaurant are very nice. Lots of restaurant and shops nearby.
Good location clean hotel
Centrally locates a 10 min walk from both the train and bus stations The hotel room was quite small, but clean. The air con didn’t offer much and the room was hot. Bathroom very small but again clean and well equipped. Staff generally helpful although when arriving early, they would not even check if a room was available which after a long flight and being tired was very disappointing. Breakfast was the normal japanese offering, no complaints
If you want AC, this isn't the place
Good rooms, clean, convenient to trains and more. But the AC units in the rooms do not work very well... can get below 79 F. So if its hot, like it is now, your room will be warm... I like the breakfasts here, and the staff is very kind.
Quiet hotel.
Stayed 8 days on the 11th floor rooms are small especially the bathroom, everywhere was clean. Room had tv, kettle and fridge. Bathroom had hairdryer, japanese toilet seat and shower in the bathtub. Didn't use any if the hotel restaurants as there are hundreds if places to eat within walking distance. The hotel is dated but reasonable for the price. Train and bus are less than 10 mins walk, we stayed here visiting relatives and if dont mind using the public transport it is possible to use a base to explore Tokyo etc, but we would have not choosen this location for that. There are several big supermarkets/department stores in Machida. If your looking for takeaway food try the department stores grocery floor loads of pre cooked meals.
