Really Nice , Great value for money , nice food in the pub..
Mum and I were travelling and needed a place to stay, the place is quite old, but very clean, and the staff were very helpful and obliging.If you want a cheap place to stay, I would recommend it ! The food in the pub was excellent , we had steak sandwiches... really nice tucker !
only a less-than-ideal solution
We stayed in the "hotel" for one night on our way up to Cape Hillsborough. According to the website, reception hours are till 12pm, but we had to go to the gaming room to find someone who could check us in. It feels like the staff wasn't really pleased about new guests and, additionally, they charged us twice for one night. To be fair, I could get my money back immediately after I had complained about the mistake. The location wasn't nice, even if we arrived in the dark and couldn't see that much. The room looked acceptable and clean at the first glance, but after I had slept in the bed, little, itchy red dots and blemishes (probably bites) appeared all over my legs the following day. All in all, it just proved a disappointing choice and I wouldn't stay there again for more than $30pp.
YOU'RE KIDDING
Upon arriving reception tried to charge more than we were qouted on BOOKING. com. Once shown receipt we were given the correct price. Room looks like something from the 70's. Beds were very uncomfortable.We then went for dinner and ordered medium rare steaks, what came out was so well done we could have resoled an old boot with. Meals were sent back and when they were bought out again 1 was still over cooked and neither had seasoning on it. On the plus side, when we complained we were given a refund and 2 free drinks. I understand it's a budget motel but come on guys.
Great budget meals
Budget meal was awesome - Took grandkids - Tables covered with paper so they could draw on them - had a kids room - Us adults enjoyed the peace while they played. Staff lovely - even chef came out and said our meals would not be to far behind the kids meals. Great service guys - keep it up
Great for budget
These reviewers who knock this place obviously don't understand it's a budget stop. Great meals ... kids stoked they got a free icecream and crayons to write on the table. I've stayed here twice and plan a third. Ther staff are lovely and if you pay in cash the deposit is automatically returned. My rooms have been clean but simple and yes it's in an industrial area but not noisy enough I can't sleep. I don't expect anything else but a good bed and good staff and I've gotten both. If you would rather spend heaps for a flash room then go elsewhere. I'm coming back here though as I'd rather spend my money on their dinner menu and visit the beach.
