Hostal Bona Vista S'Illot

We stayed here on a short last minute break a little worried as reviews were very mixed I can say we were delighted the rooms very clean and larger than expected ,beds very comfortable and all cleaned regularly by lovely staff ,very helpful and cheerful ,breakfast excellent plenty of choice and for the price you couldn't find any faults

Great spot so near the sea. We got a small, clean and quiet room which suited us fine. The staff are lovely and helpful. We went to their other hotel nearby for food which was excellent. Pool was clean. Near the tourist office and the bus stop.

Theres nothing wrong with this place. We paid for a 2 star hotel so wasnt expecting great things... we was put in the annex which i found alot better than bein in the actual hotel... sat on the balcony watching the sea... good for relaxing in the sun. Rooms were cleaned everyday with clean towels.. theres a little bar downstairs that opens at night.. basically your around afew pubs anyway.. ok this place needs a paint job but for the money we paid.. it was perfect.. we had what we wanted which was a clean room and bed to sleep in.

The bonavista is shocking.it's worse than some back packing hostels I've seen. We booked playa blanca but we're in the bonavista. The management did move us with no quibbles and we were fine. Playa blanca was good. Not great as a little tired but excellent for the price. Food was always hot .a little samey but always something for all to eat. Staff were friendly and room clean and cleaned daily. Bit mean with drinks as only allowed one drink per bar visit which meant you get a tray and take a few to sit on the balcony with.a couple of nights when idiots sat around pool in large groups and we and got round after round.they didn't limit them.rowdy and ending up fighting which spoilt for a number of people.indoor pool closed.outdoor pool clean but freezing. I would go to playa again and hopefully they listen to posts. The bonivista should not be listed as annexe.it's dirty,unsafe and generally a shady looking building,a spoiler for the playa blanca.needs closing and money spending on it.

I have just returned from this hotel with my brother, we both booked for double rooms with single occupancy on half board. As has been said, you do have to go to I think it's the Playa Dorado, it's the Playa something, to get your keys and future meals, it isn't next door, it's actually about a 100 metres away around corners, what happens is the BonaVista and another Hotel are like the Playa's overspill! It can be a nuisance dragging your luggage to and from on arrival and departing, as you have to leave your luggage there for safe keeping when you get your departure transfer! After all that, I quite enjoyed my stay there as a single person, I don't think I would have been very happy taking company. Mind you saying that it is done on a budget, so it's basic, although I found the food to be quite good, although I do have a cast iron stomach. A couple of thing's I wasn't to impressed with, the main Hotel door was always open, with no staff there, the other was in the f/night I was there, my bedding wasn't changed. I'm afraid this hotel's bad review's sound as if they have been added to, which doesn't actually give a true impression of my holiday, which overall was good.............
