More about the hotel
Bad. Just bad
We stayed a week at this hotel. Initially it looked amazing when we first got there. But things got worse and worse as each day went. Only cleaning we got was that they emptied the trash, and changed towels (one time). We dropped something on the bed, which made it dirty, and we asked them to please change the sheets. What we found was that they just turned the sheets upside down. Like really?!?! We wanted to throw out some home brought chicken, when we couldn't eat anymore, we wanted to throw out the rest. How ever the trashcan was so small that it didn't fit. So we put it on top of the trash, to make it clear that it had to go out. When we came back, they had emptied out the trash, but put the chicken on the floor, next to the trash. Like really?!?! Room was full of ants, as they didn't clean under the beds. We wanted to buy breakfast at the hotel, we did that once, after we saw the price. 16,50 euro for a sandwich with 3 pieces of bad jamon serrano, and 3 pieces of tasteless cheese, a cup of coffee, a tea and a water. Like really?!?! Only reason to stay at this hotel is the staff, in the bar, and the location. The view is beautiful. Very few things can beat that view. Staff in bar are super nice, but terribly understaffed. No menu of the day, only a la carte. For sure we will NOT go back to this hotel. Terrible management and even worse cleaning.
Disappointed
+ Beautiful view. + Clean + Breakfast is great, many options of fresh food. - Never stay on the 3dr Floor because you don't have any privacy, rooms on this floor are at ground level and every guest walking in the terrace can see inside your room and toilet (toilet has no curtain and only half of the the window is filmed). - Toilet was not draining. Even after changing to a new room the problem of drainage persisted. To avoid flooding the toilet I had to switch on and off every minute so the water can go down and takes forever. - No AC. I asked for a fan but the answer was ”No, we don't have”. Palma de Mallorca is mostly visited during the summer and temperatures easily going above 30 degrees. I was boiling during the night. I left the window open over the night hoping for a nice breeze to cool down, but then you have the problem of noise, insects and the clarity early in the morning. - No Tv. - No safe. - No telephone, I had to go to the ”reception” to order a meal and after 40 min the staff knocks at my door saying that my meal was ready 20 min ago, so I got changed just to go to the reception to get my ”not so fresh” meal. Fyi, If you're staying at this hotel make sure you have a vehicle because is far from everything.
You get what you pay for
Just got back from a week at the Sant Salvador hotel and my feelings are mixed. Positives: Location is stunning cannot beat the views Good location for east coast towns Good location for walking and biking if your into that type of thing Restaurant for dinner has good options, the set meal is good value Rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels if you want Shower is good very powerful water pressure Lots of parking The road isn’t as bad as everyone says and is worth it for the views, everyone drives up at 15mph anyway Negatives: Noise reverberates badly. It was so noisy with from people in other rooms & hotel staff it was actually hard to relax. We took earplugs and had to use them every night. No aircon, even though it is cooler on the hill it’s still very warm & muggy at night No TV or any other luxury of any kind, rooms are basic to say the least - literally just a bed and a bathroom. No draws to keep smalls in even! If you don’t have a car don’t book this hotel. It’s a cheap hotel so you get what you pay for, shouldn’t expect the height of luxury but I expected a little bit more if I’m honest. We were in a standard room I believe the apartments are better.
Good price, average service
We stayed at this hotel for 6 days and had breakfast+dinner + nice variety of food during the whole stay + clean rooms + nice staff + beautiful view + very comfy nights whitout AC because of the lower temperature on the hill and the building itself (monastery) + nice church and the surrounding - high prices for the quality of food from the menu - staff didn’t speak english - some waitress not very professional - very basic accommodation - quite long and very narrow way up
Fantastic place and scenery
Fantastic hotel and the views wonderful found the staff rude and not helpful at all . Couldn’t speak a lot of English but it came across as them being rude , very clean restaurant and rooms . Breakfast 8 -10.30 but if you got in after 1/2 9 nothing really left and they didn’t fill up the croissants even though the cafe next to the restaurant belonged to the hotel had loads for paying visitors /cyclists!!!
