Perfect place to relax
Staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. On arrival they upgraded our room to an amazing suite with a view of the sea. The main pool is amazing, the Aqua Restaurant was lovely- had a great dinner. The spa was a great place to retreat on the day it rained and the walk along the sea is a great spot. Hugely recommend
A True 5 Star Experience 🥂
This is the 4th time I’ve stayed at this wonderful hotel . From the moment you arrive you are treated exceptionally well by everyone in the team you come into contact with. The manager, Janine ,takes time to chat to all the guests and nothing is too much trouble . The hotel is tastefully decorated and the spacious garden grounds stunning . I love that there’s so much space around the pool to find a quiet spot , definitely good for current social distancing ! It’s a really special experience.
Plenty To Do On & Off The Resort
My family of 4 made the trip from London to Mallorca just as the government announced that we'd have to quarantine when we returned but honestly it was worth it. Due to COVID the resort was only about 50% full which was nice because we had plenty of room. The resort is a short 20-minute taxi ride (£35) from the airport and there is plenty to see on the way in. The resort offers transport for closer to £100 each way but taxis are easy to find so I didn't really consider the resort transport. Unlike in the UK, wearing a mask is mandatory in Spain in any public space (both inside and outside) so we had to wear our masks at all times (except when swimming/eating). The resort had hand sanitizing stations everywhere as well as masks if you forgot to bring yours. Upon arrival we were taken outside and given drinks while the paperwork was done and then they brought our bags to our room. Since we had 4 in our family and wanted a sea view the choice of rooms wasn't as plentiful as it would have been had we just had 3. We selected the Ocean Two which was a very big suite but was worth the extra money. The Ocean Two had two bedrooms with king-size beds along with a separate bathroom for each. We had a huge outdoor patio with a nice view of the sea and pool area. The air conditioning worked really well which was a must with temps between 30 and 37 most of the day. Our favorite part of the resort was the kids club which was open from 10:00 to 18:00. We were able to drop off our two kids, ages 3 and 7, for no charge and they were able to stay as long as they wanted. It was nice to have a few hours of alone time without having to worry about what our kids were up to. The staff at the kids club did a tremendous job keeping the kids busy. The kids club had its own pool with the water depth not much more than half a meter. They had table tennis, football goals, a playground with swings, and a large sandpit and with 5 to 10 others kids to play with boredom for the kids wasn't an issue. We spent most of our time in the pool with the three-tier pools increasing in depth as you went from one to the other. The pool staff brought out towels and set everything up and they came by frequently to check if we needed drinks. There are several restaurants but we just frequented the one by the pool and Aqua which is where the breakfast buffet is served each day from 7:00 to 11:00. The staff insists on putting everything on your plate which was fine. The selection and taste of the food was very good. Except for the first night we went outside of the resort to eat dinner each night with Palmanova, Puerto Portals, and Palma the places we ended up the most. The restaurants at the resort were very good but we wanted a change of scenery each day as well. Both Palmanova and Puerto Portals had a slew of places to eat and were both less than a 5-minute taxi ride away. The staff did a great job remembering everyones names which is always a nice touch and they made sure to go out of their way to keep the kids happy. There was a large spa with its own pool and gym but since that was a kid-free area we didn't go inside. Biggest positives: Nice pool Kids club Location Staff Biggest negatives: No real beach access (closest was Palmanova 5 min away) No tennis/mini-football pitch for kids Pricey drinks (£7 for 200ml Pepsi) Shorter pool hours - when it doesn't get dark until 21:30 in summer it'd be nice to have the pool open until at least 21:00. Spa pool was open until 21:00 but kids not allowed. All-in-all it was a great trip that was just what the doctor ordered after months of being stuck inside.
Excellent - everything we wanted and more
We stayed here in July 2020 not too long after the hotel had reopened. We chose the hotel because when we searched for a great resort in Majorca with an excellent kids club this came up and when we looked at the pics online it looked awesome so we booked it. The good points; 1. Kids Club was was staffed by great people who were wonderful with our son. 2. Pool was great for the afternoons when we would play with our son. 3. Rooms were huge and clean with high quality decor. 4. Breakfast spread was excellent. 5. Guest services were helpful booking beach clubs and restaurants. 6. Staff friendly and attentive - little things like bringing tabasco to the table without me asking because I asked for it once. 7. Food in the restaurants during the day/evening was high quality. 8. Made it really easy to comply with the rules on masks. 9. Staff were very conscious of hygiene and always wore masks and cleaned regularly all public spaces. The bad points were all minor and mostly it was because of Covid like, for example, limited menu choice in the restaurant or limited choice of spa treatments. On the whole we had an amazing time and will definitely go back if we decide to go to Majorca again.
Solo Getaway post-COVID Restictions
An absolutely amazing resort experience regardless of the circumstances! Yes, certain St. Regis amenities have been reduced (e.g., Butler service, in particular, upon arrival — specifically the room/suite orientation and unpacking of your baggage due to the virus) but if you can look beyond the minor tweaks in service due to the current difficulties, I don’t see any reason to rate this property any less than “Excellent” in all categories. My experience in early July exceeded all expectations of a Category 8 Marriott Bonvoy property. I was treated as expected at the appropriate status level, to include upgrade, and the breakfast is outstanding. Highly recommended!!!
