Great location in Main Lodge area

This Inn was in the perfect location for me, as I had to take the YARTS bus to Yosemite the next day, which departs fro right outside the hotel. The lobby/entrance area is tastefully decorated with a mountain type of theme, but the room that I was assigned was a little outdated, and could definitely use some interior upgrading. Having said that, the room was impeccably clean, quiet and comfortable, and suited my needs perfectly. For the price, it really was excellent value for money. For those wishing to Mountain Bike/ski the trails on the slopes, this hotel is a perfect choice.
Great Place to Stay for Skiing

You would want to stay here for the convenient location to main lodge. The rooms are very basic, small, and dated. For the price, I would choose the Juniper Springs with large, modern suits. The service on the other hand is great here. We loved the ski valet right by the entrance. If you are sensitive to altitude sickness you might want to avoid this place as well since the elevation is higher than other hotels.
It's Older, but Nice and Convenient Location

The original Mammoth Mountain Inn was built in 1958 I was told. The exterior appearance is fine, and the inside is definitely older, but still nice. The staff were VERY CARING and helpful. The speed of check in and check out was fine! Our room was clean and the working order of the guest room amenities was just fine too. We went in September, but if you go to ski, it's RIGHT BY the gondola for the ski lift!
The most AMAZING service!

The staff here has exceeded our expectations and then some. As a group of evacuees from the Caldor fire (Grizzly Flats/Myers/South Lake Tahoe), we can not express our appreciation of the kindness we have received here. We have been living in limbo for almost a month, unable to go home...or whether we have a home to go back to. As this has obviously been a very stressful, traumatizing time for all of us, any acts of kindness mean that much more. Mr. Rick Espy, Front Office Manager was so kind and understanding regarding our situation. I don't believe I've ever encountered a more hospitable Front Desk Manager. This speaks volumes to his leadership, as the rest of his team that has helped to accommodate us on a daily check-in/out basis as we await our permission to repopulate our homes has been impeccable. A few of the team members that were extra incredible included: Jeremiah, Tom, and Ian. The room, accommodations, parking were all amazing as well. I highly recommend this property to everyone. Thank you SO MUCH to Rick & all of the staff that were so kind. We hope to visit again on better circumstances.

I was worried when i first walked into my room as the carpet was very worn even with some holes in it …. But i had a great stay here the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food at the lodge was great - the restaurant management was very attentive and checked in multiple times and i decided to eat here both nights as its a great view onto mountain and service was great My weimereiner Sophie had a wonderful time - we went paddle boarding on lake Mary - fabulous day go early before crowds and then in afternoon we hiked to rainbow falls which was gorgeous . Bed was very comfortable in king loft room with balcony - will definitely come again - so much to see and do - great proximity for hiking and paddle boarding
