Mandeview Hotel

We did not get the conference room as discussed,the location given for event was unsuitable.As a group we had to rearrange the room ourselves. The food was insufficient and we had to wait on more protein. Hope to use another venue next year.

This is a very family oriented hotel and located in the mountainous region of Mandaville, Jamaica. This is the best hotel in that region with very reasonable rates and a very good Jamaican breakfast included. This hotel offers a good sleep in a comfortable bed with hot or cold shower. No need for air condition as the air in the mountains is always cool.

Stay at the Mandeview for two nights and it was pleasant. The standard room which i booked wasnt big but the room was clean. I slept with my window open and the fresh air was nice. a few of the reviews i read wasnt nice but i decided to try anyway and im glad i did. kerri thanks for the extra porridge . wil be back

We had the opportunity to stop over in Mandeville and we were directed to book at Mandeview Flats. We had family who knew were the hotel was and so we did not have problems locating it. However, it would be better if there were signs in the area that would help with directions. This hotel is 5 - 10 minutes drive from the center of Mandevelle town. The hotel is perched on the side of a steep slope with a wonderful view of the suburbs of Mandeville. When we got there on Friday night we went to the front office where we were promptly ushered to our room. We were re-assigned to room 36 because of some water issues in our originally booked room. We had a king sized bed, full spacious bathroom with whirlpool tub and a shower stall and a portable standing fan. The TV was cable connected and there was WIFI access. We left for an engagement and returned later that night. The security gate was closed but was promptly opened to allow us in. On Saturday morning we proceeded to the dining area for our breakfast. We had a typical Jamaican breakfast - Ackee and salt fish and fried dumplings, fried plantains and freshly picked avocado, orange juice and a hot beverage. Breakfast was good, the dining area clean and comfortable and the meal was served hot. The kitchen was close by and the staff was pleasant. She took our breakfast orders quickly and returned with juice and hot water to prepare our tea. The morning also revealed a lovely view of the area below. The were many avocado trees around that explained the fresh avocados for breakfast. We had further engagements on Saturday and returned late at night. On leaving for our engagement on Saturday morning i realized how steep the slope is to get to the parking area. We checked out on Sunday after another good breakfast. Pros: I found Mandeview Flats to be comfortable, clean and and a practical choice for a bed and breakfast hotel in mid Jamaica (Manchester and environs). Clean room and, spacious bathroom, reasonable amenities with easy, quick access to Mandeville town. Good complementary breakfast. Cons: Maybe a challenge to find if you are not from the area.

Booked 2 rooms at this hotel after calling and asking if they had air condition and they said yes , upon arrival there was none and the rooms looked haunted , walkway was bad looks as if u was gonna fall and break your legs , had to cancel immediately and find another hotel
