Racism at it its finest!!!

I had the displeasure of staying in this facility this past weekend. We arrived late to the hotel and when my friends and I entered we were asked by the attendant how we got in as if we were thieves. It was late so we let it go by. Following his extreme rudeness and unprofessionalism, he told us where our room was located. Unfortunately the room key did not work and we went back to the desk to let him know. He was super annoyed that we bothered him as he was talking on his cell phone which was pinned under his shirt on his shoulder wearing as he's wearing flip flops. He schleps back to the door and tells us we don't know how to open the door,as if we were the biggest buffoons on the planet. Again condescending verbiage continues. He then tells us the door is jammed and sending us to another room. We paid for a suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. This room we are now confined to no longer has the services we purchased. The next day, we see the "manager" which we did not know at the time she was and she would only greet the white boaders and completely ignored anyone of color. We tell the new attendant about our situation and the manager refused to speak to us. And refused to compensate the situation in any way. We asked to be checked out and again were denied of this as well. And their breakfast is a complete joke, stale mini-muffins and tangerines. And the place smelled awful. Outside it smelled like dead rats decomposing. I would not recommend this place, because that's what it is, not a hotel, to my worst enemy. Stay away!!!!

Sleep in your car

Reviewed 3 april, 2022

My first red flag should’ve been when we pulled up and there were 3 whole cars in the lot. I felt like I was walking into The Shining. We were there with a group of families for a sporting event. Pool is closed “due to Covid” but looked like they just didn’t want to maintain it. Lobby level bathrooms were “out of order.” When you walk in it looks like fairly decent however the rooms tell a different story. I guess everyone’s level of cleanliness is different but yuck! The stains running up and down the doors, the smell of cigarette smoke in our bathroom, the dust piled up on the back of the blow dryer just shows they don’t pay attention to simple detail enough to make it even appear clean. Mirror was dirty. TV had some channels that worked, mostly fuzzy. Wi-fi you don’t need a password for but that doesn’t matter because it doesn’t work anyway. I opened the lid on the ac/heat unit to turn it on and the lid fell completely off. Pieces of the wall were falling off. Thankfully we were there less than 24 hours. I am only writing this for other potential customers that may want to stay here because I know the managers do not care. Even if they respond to this review, it’s all for show because another person in our group complained about the amount of bugs (yes bugs) in his room among other things and they basically told him if he didn’t like it he could leave. I’d also like to add that I found out we weren’t the only ones in the hotel when the couple next our room decided to start having very loud sex for almost an hour and a half. Thankfully my kids were already asleep. Obviously this has nothing to do with the hotel itself but it was just a little cherry on top of a crap pie. TL/DR ; Stay somewhere else

Worst hotel stay ever.

Reviewed 10 march, 2022

Truly horrific stay. The hotel is dark, dirty, and completely unwelcoming. There is no hot breakfast and the pool is closed (despite every other hotel in the area having fully functioning amenities). The water pressure is nonexistent. The very limited staff is unhelpful. The manager does not work on weekends! Honestly this was the worst hotel stay ever. Go anywhere else!

Location location. Period. Drive 6 miles further and stay comfortably.

If this were a roadside lowest-budget hotel at $49 a night it would earn 3 stars...maybe. It's not. We paid about five times what it's worth. It has a few redeeming features: the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable, there wasn't too much dirt on the carpet and they have a really good ice machine. >>>> They're very short staffed; no surprise. But they use Covid as an excuse to have an abominable breakfast, no room service even on request unless you're driving an 18 wheeler and a closed and rotting exercise room. >>>>> Covid or no covid, it's a dump. There seems to be no doubt that this owner cares far more about the short term bottom line than the comfort of his guests. The TV package didn't even include major stations that covered the baseball playoffs. Other than the desk the furniture ranged from barely OK to the worst we've ever seen -- even in college dorms after house parties. The desk chair was falling apart. If you had left it beside the road it would stay there until the county trash truck did it justice. >>>>>> Unfortunately, now the Hampton is closed, it's the only game in town. It's a short walk to the Penn Renaissance Faire if you're willing to brave erratic highway traffic after dark. If you haven't been drinking, though, there are faaaaar better hotels 6 or 7 miles away and dozens of infinitely better -- and cheaper-- hotels within a dozen miles (Both Hershey and Lancaster). We loved being able to relax and enjoy the good beers at the Faire, but one of us will be staying sober from now on until someone refurbishes and opens the former Hampton across the street. ---Bob & Ellie Tupper, authors, “Drinking In the Culture, Tuppers’ Guide to Exploring Great Beers in Europe.”

A great place to sleep IF YOU ARE STAFF.

Reviewed 8 october, 2021

A great place to sleep IF YOU ARE STAFF. We had run out of toilet paper and went to the front desk to obtain more. When we arrived at the front desk there was a note asking us to call a number for assistance. We called the number and you could hear a phone ring in the adjacent office with all the lights shut off. The gentleman who answered clearly had just been awakened by the phone. He came out from the back room scratching his head, no shoes on. Unmistakably he had been sleeping. This person who should be alert to allow entrance into the hotel only people who belong was asleep on the job endangering all of the guests safety. Secondly we went down to get breakfast and coffee, it was 25 minutes later than the breakfast hours we were advised of during check in. The breakfast area was dark, no coffee (because due to CoVid the hotel only provided coffee during the breakfast hours). Again staff sleep was the priority over guests.
