Understated Hotel

Considering most trip books do not include Lecco for some reason we were pleasantly surprised on finding our pre-booked hotel to be a real find! It is extremely clean. Staff are all very friendly but professional. Bar and restaurant staff surpassed themselves with our service. Breakfast was included with our booking and was a very varied menu. They don't serve lunch but that wasn't an issue for us. Bar opened at 6. Supper served from 7.30pm. Not a huge menu but excellent food. Would thoroughly recommend this place!

All the staff are extremely friendly , I am waiting for my room due to hotel being so crowded !!! Thanks to Valentino she is trying to find me a good room for my five night stay in Rome.... love the food !!!!!!!!

Great location but unsafe

Hotel staff entered my room even with "do not disturb" sign on the door. I was confused, but then saw that items started to disappear from my hotel room. When I reported this issue to the management, they checked digital cards, but failed to help and then ignored my requests to please follow up. Anyone can get into this hotel from the street without passing the reception. It is not safe. Also, the air conditioning/ heat was not working in my room. The water temperature in the shower ranged from warm to suddenly scorching hot. The room itself is spacious but noisy as it is on one of the main plazas.

Great stay

I stayed here for 2 nights. The location is right on a main street in Mar Del Plata making it very easy to either walk to other places in the city of grab a cab. My room was increadibly spacious with a with a great view of the park in one direction and a small view of the water and beach out the other side. I belive you could pay a little extra for a water view. The room was little more then others in Argentina but it was also the peak of vacation season when I went. With that being said the price was very reasonable in comparison to others in the area. If you are unaware Mar Del Plata is the beach city to go to in Argentina during the summer. I have a new definition of a busy beach town even in comparison to several Caribean Islands, beach towns in Flordia and places in Mexico during the peak of spring break. It is nothing compared to the amount of people in MDP in Jan and I believe all the way through March. The town itself if very nice and i felt very safe at all times, which I cannot say the same for Buenos Aires. If you get a chance go and visit but maybe avoid the peak times.

Wonderful Stay

We were in Mar del Plata at New Years and stayed for 2 nights. It's the sister hotel to the main NH hotel, so it looks/feels the same, without the extravagant lobby. Location is perfect, right on the beach with a nice plaza just behind. It didn't seem particularly busy, even with the Dakhar on that weekend, not sure why, but we had very attentive service, which may be the norm, but would be hard to do if it was really busy. In any case, everyone was helpful, friendly, breakfast was the usual Argentina fare, but very good. Rooms were huge, fairly sparsely furnished but with everything you need. We had a perfect view of the beach. Another bonus was parking right under the hotel. Overall, a highlight of our trip to Argentina!
