Good accommodation before hiking Mount Kilimanjaro

I spent three nights in total in the Babylon Lodge. Two nights before hiking Mount Kilimanjaro and one night after. They offer an airport pick up (paied) which worked out perfect. Driver was in time and drove carefully even though I arrived in the middle of the night and roads and traffic is not always the safest in Tanzania! The staff welcomed me very friendly and I got a nice room! Breakfast was sufficient and delicious. During the day you can either spend time in the bar or at the backyard. They offered drinks and a lot of popcorn. :). We always had a buffett for dinner, which was super delicious as well! While hiking you can drop off luggage and they lock it. The night after I came back hiking unfortunately I got a room with dirty towels, bed sheets and dirty bathroom. I gave the feedback immediately to the manager so they are aware of and I am sure they will take this feedback serious to avoid this in future. All in all it was a nice experience and price/performance totally worth it! I would come back.

Amazing people, amazing property

We love the team at Babylon - they were friendly, flexible, welcoming, and all around awesome hosts before and after our hike up Kilimanjaro on the Machame route. The food was wonderful and the rooms were super comfy. Most of all, we loved the vibe of our hosts!

I had a great stay at this hotel with great location for Mount Kilimanjaro, very attentive staff and delicious meals! The rooms are cozy, with comfortable beds and hot water. I also had a special breakfast on my last day.

Great location for Kilimanjaro

We stayed at this hotel after a one day hike on Kilimanjaro organized by African Traits. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the end of our hike. The food was great. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Amazing stay at this very beautiful lodge! The staff is super super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are cozy and exactly what you need. The food is amazing. Especially the curry chicken. Absolutely reccommend 100/100.
