Great stay and very clean
We stayed 2 nights for a business trip and were very pleased with the room and staff. The place was extremely clean and welcoming. My only suggestion would be to add bedspreads or comforters to the beds. Perhaps this has something to do with COVID restrictions though.
Nice location, crappy breakfast
Nice motel in good location. Room had recently been remodeled, but the door was not sealed properly with gaps on three sides that let in a lot of noise and light from the busy hallway. We had to close a blanket into the door to remedy. And I understand they are unable to provide their usual breakfast due to covid, but it was a pretty disappointing breakfast. Hardly worth our time to have two small pancakes and one sausage link. We had to go get a real breakfast after this little snack. Lol.
Wonderful!
Chris at front desk made our visit - it was incredibly wonderful to be treated with such thoughtful above & beyond true hospitality. Family of 4 traveling, needed place for one evening & most places aren’t too keen on catering to couples with a 2 year old and 6 mo old but Chris made me feel as if I was at 5 star resort with service prepping our room, ensuring our room would be away from traffic & not below a noisy occupant, etc, holding a portacrib for us (setting it Chris at front desk made our visit - it was incredibly wonderful to be treated with such thoughtful above & beyond true hospitality. This tired & pregnant momma couldn’t thank him enough. The Inn is a little dated but everything is clean, sterile, warm & welcoming. Everything works, close to some of the yummiest restaurants (1850 is where it’s at!) and good little breakfast options. Comfortable bed & pillows!!! Better than hotel we stayed at night before that was twice as much in rate. Very pleased, wish we had more time to extend trip & stay longer - charming, quaint & even though older, has everything you need to be comfortable, safe & clean
Comfy, clean, just a tad dated
Very comfy beds, good sound insulation between rooms, very helpful staff, nice hot tub, easy location. Will stay again- good value for price. I say "dated" because the look and feel is like going to an elderly auntie's house- it's cozy circa 1989. Modified continental breakfast (takeaway due to covid-19) was really lacking, which is my only critical feedback.
A Friendly, Clean & Hospitable Yosemite base camp
We spent three nights at the Miner’s Inn Motel in Mariposa. It was great. Chris, the afternoon/night man at the desk was friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. He’s from Mariposa originally, I think, and he made some great eating and drinking recommendations, including Pony Expresso Coffee across the street and Nayo’s Mexican restaurant down the road. Mariposa is a cool little town with a lot of charm, by the way. Our room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced and we had the sense that they’re doing their part to keep everything clean and sanitized. Mariposa is about an hour from Yosemite Valley and also from the Mariposa Grove of sequoias. We made day trips to both and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for a very pleasant stay!
