Lovely food at very good prices. Our server had the patience of a saint...when serving a table near us we heard every allergy listed to mankind (olive oil, nuts, polyester, wood, dust, air the universe etc) with A LOT of attitude. Despite the snippy comments, curled nostrils of distaste, and eye rolling rudeness the server remained unfazed and professional throughout. Our service was spot on and the food excellent value, the wine was lovely and the beer looked after properly. Will definitely return whenever we are in the area. No wonder the locals use this place.

Lovely old place .people very friendly..room spotlessly clean..lovely evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was lovely as well ..complements to the 👩‍🍳 chef. The prawn cocktail was the best I’ve ever had..All the food was fresh and cooked to perfection.

Stayed at the dixie several times. Always a warm welcome from Alex and her team. Comfortable and clean rooms with a great breakfast. Staff always helpful. Safe and secure car park used by the Hotel only adds to the benefits in a town that can be difficult to park in.

We have stayed at the Dixie Arms several times and look forward to staying again the rooms are clean comfortable and tidy, the staff are helpful, informative and friendly and the breakfast is delicious and made with fresh, local ingredients

Fantastic welcome when we arrived by Alex , room clean and comfortable. Brilliant atmosphere in bar .. breakfast was amazing, friendly service from Sav . Hugely recommend . We will definitely stay here again
