We loved it here! Excellent value for a beautiful room with delicious continental breakfast… It’s a stunning old building with heaps of history (hence the lower ceilings!) but fresh, clean and fab toiletries too. Our breakfast was left in our room and fridge - croissants, ham, cheese, juice, yogurts, water, fruit oh and jam too! It was a real treat to have breakfast in bed (which was super comfy too). We found the D&B as a base to venture into Marlow and it was a perfect location for us, only a short cab/bus ride away but there are many walks etc nearby too. Ryan is so passionate about the pub and looked after us so very well, we were sorry we weren’t able to stay for dinner as we already had plans - but will next time…. Thanks again to Ryan and the team!

This accomodation did not live up to its reputation. The staff were polite. The room was large and well appointed, although the ceiling and doorways are low. Obviously lots of money spent on refurbishment and electronic mood lighting. Not enough money spent on cleaning staff or breakfast supplies. We didn't even get a croissant and had to go elsewhere for breakfast. No one on site overnight and no contact number in case of problems. Overall very disappointed. This wonderful location needs a bit more attention to detail if it is going to represent value for money.

What a disappointment. This place has gone downhill. The manager was grumpy telling us he had not been told about our agreed early check in and telling us we had not booked with a dog when we had. The cleaner chain smoked outside the room and there were butts everywhere. At dinner the manager cleared his bag, cost etc off our table and no one cleaned it. Assistant manager great but food average. Such a shame as rooms lovely and we always liked it on previous stays.

Lovely pub with Thames walks

Excellent pub. Ryan as loads of information about the local area. The pub is lovely inside and there are plenty of beautiful walks along the Thames nearby and history too. We will definitely be re- visiting the pub and bringing our friends too.

If kindness wins stars then 5 stars it is. I will explain. On Monday February 28th I was driving to Hambleden and Nature was calling. Lovely looking Pub appears on right hand side. Park up. Closed on Mondays except for Hotel Guests. Help. Walk in and lovely man appears. Could I please just use the Loos even though you are closed. Please do. May I perhaps buy a cup of coffee? No but O am very happy to make you a complimentary one which you can enjoy outside as we can’t allow anyone inside. Of course, say I. Delighted and touched by your kindness. What a lovely looking interior it was as well. I shall be back to stay the night as soon as I can such is spontaneous kindness os spirit shown.
