Fantastic breakfast, nice pool area
This hotel is located just along the road from the harbourside area of Selimiye, on the left of the road as you enter the village. It consists of rooms in several separate wooden-constructed buildings (they're wooden on the outside, but modern on the inside). Our room was a reasonable size and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. The rooms are fairly basic, but not poor quality and are good value for money. There's a reasonable-sized swimming pool and all-day free coffee and (Turkish) tea available from the pool area. The garden has quite a lot of tables in shady places, and there's places to hang out by the pool and the rooms also (the rooms all seem to have balconies). The hotel seems quite popular with Turkish families. The breakfast was fantastic. It was served, rather than buffet style, with an infinite supply of additional break or whatever else you wanted, for as long as you could eat! The variety was good also, for example several kinds of break, menemen, other eggs, various cheeses, and so forth. It was certainly the best breakfast we had in Turkey on this particular trip. Overall, I think the Selimhan is nothing fancy, but is a pleasant place to stay with very friendly staff, a good pool for kids, and an awesome breakfast. It's right next to the mosque, so you might get woken early, but we slept through it. Although it's on the main road into Selimiye we were not bothered by traffic noise; just be careful when walking into the centre of the village.
I won't go again, not recommend it.
Totally overrated. This is not a Hotel, it is bed n breakfast. Even if you requested, you won't get lunch+dinner+ not even a drink! They charge you upon arrival and don't want to do anything with you any more. very poor service. The fridge in our room was very noisy and gave us a hard time to sleep. Hotel does not have a beach, therefore you need to use other otels' beach and pay extra for that but of course this is not mentioned anywhere. And that overrated breakfast, there is no choice and you have to have what they offer you. On our last day before we left to room they started cleaning and preparing for the next customer, which was shocking. Won't go again. Alison B
A lovely place
We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. We like the place so much, the owner and his wife and the staff are wonderfull and so is the food. If you want to go to Marmeris there is a bus, it takes about 1hour, we spent one hour in Marmeris and that was enough back to Silimiye, here is nice and life is easy. Just try it
TA reviews failed big time
Always chose hotels around the world based on TA reviews. This small hotel had excellent reviews and in reality it is nothing like the reviews. Located at the entrance of the Selimiye village. Surrounded by trees and has a nice quiet environment. However due to the guests we stayed together we could not sleep or chill. There was noise 24 hours. Also the neighbor next door climbs the stairs you bet someone is in your room no isolation at all. Breakfast which everyone is talking about lacked quality and taste. Major problem about the hotel is, it is not by the sea like most others in Selimiye. Therefore you have to pay to have a sunbed every day. You should bear this in mind when comparing prices. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are much better options in Selimiye with similar prices.
Nice & Comfortable
Hotel is located on the left when you enter Selimiye village. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and basic needs are provided. Breakfast is always fantastic. Village center is 300 meters away where you can find nice restaurants. They don't serve lunch or dinner but with the suggestios of manager Kerem, we always enjoyed what we ate in the vilage. I would suggest to go Çiftlik bay on one day. We (family of 4) stayed 4 nights here and loved every moment.
