STUPID SERVICE. STUPID PEOPLE. THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO TALK, REALLY BAD COMMUNICATION. they should study how to behave properly to customers. no wifi, no room, no understanding. they laugh at you when you explain the problem. they don't solve the issue, they want to force me to pay a night that i did not spend there and threaten me to call the police.

Great Budget hotel

Reviewed 4 march, 2020

My wife and I stopped at the Hotel Mont Gueliz in Mohammed V Road in Marrakesh, it is classed in the budget group of hotels the staff are mostly bilingual and so friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large containing bathroom with overhead showers, main bedroom consists of large King sized bed with two further 6 foot sofas, dressing table, windows, some rooms have a small balcony as well. The restaurant food is plentiful and varied with bread, juice, tea, coffee, cereal 🥣, pancake, cheese, omelet, fried egg, yoghurt, etc all served by friendly staff from 06-30 till 10-30am. In the full summer season lunch and dinner are served As well. This Lovely hotel is situated in a quiet and good location with bus 🚍 links to town and other attractions nearby like Jardine Majorette, Medina, Manara Gardens, main square, mosques, and further afield. Would Recommend this Highly and will revisit next year. N.B. a special thanks to Ishmael at reception for all of his help and friendliness.

Good hotel

Reviewed 2 february, 2020

I was at this hotel from 26/01 to 28/01/2020 it was a good hotel clean, tired and without noises. Easy access 15 minutes from the airport by taxi 70Dh. And you can sometimes to get a bus number 1 to Madine for 4DH. For the price it's worth to stay, the only problem the guys don't clean every day but just change the sheets.

Thorough review for anyone interested

Came with my hubby and 8mnth old baby for just under 2 weeks. I give the hotel 4/5 stars. Thorough review as follows Room Decent size room, given 2 double beds instead of double and infant cot (was told no infant cot available but worked out fine for us, joined the beds together to make a massive bed), window, dresser and bathroom. Some rooms had sofas too. Would maybe recommend rooms to have some refurbishment, paint walls, reseal bathrooms, they looked a bit old/dirty. Had flat screen TV, 1 channel, could do with more. Cleaning service Daily cleaning was very appreciated especially with the baby! Made the beds, changed sheets and towels daily, cleaned bathroom and washed floors Rooftop Pool Clean, decent sized and not too deep or shallow. Was great bonus, opened 9am-8pm! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of tables up there to eat and 3 sunbeds! Wifi The wifi didnt work for majority of the day for about 3 days on and off. Hotel staff were very efficient, had a technician on it straight away. Once fixed, had no problem with the wifi for remaining visit! Staff Was greeted first day at check-in by manager I think, very welcoming, answered questions, gave us a book of excursions we could book directly with hotel if wanted (these were actually cheaper than what people tried offering us on the street ones). Wasnt forceful about paying the city tax, said we could pay however we wanted and whenever. Gave us options about what room we wanted which was nice. Another young male receptionist next day, always smiling and friendly which made him pleasant to talk to! Another guy who delivered our luggage to our rooms and was there at breakfast replacing finished meals and tidying up, never got his name, but he was so lovely and helpful, very friendly, helped me with baby buggy many times and holding lift for me and hubby. Was worried when the baby made a bit of mess, I tried to tidy it, and he was really nice about it and told me he got it, always so helpful- nice chap! Breakfast Was a good variety of food, fresh crossiants, pain au choc, flat and thick pancakes, flat bread, moroccan bread fried egg, toast, yogurt. Good variety of drinks too, mint tea, black tea, coffee, hot chocolate. The warm milk tasted lush! Loved breakfast but have to say, after eating daily for nearly 2 weeks, got a bit bored and ate less each day, would be good if they had a small mix up, selection of cut fruit (baby would of loved that), cereal options, beans, scrambled/boiled eggs Location Located in Gueliz, Marrakech. Local buses literally a walk across hotel, can go anywhere for only 4dh! Lots of restaurants/cafés either side of street. Can walk to Koutoubia Mosque area 30min walk/8min bus ride. Eden Shopping Centre 15min walk by! Overall a very good stay! Thank you for your hospitality! All the best

Mont gueliz scum hotel

Rooms stank of sewage. Cleaners steal your cash at first opportunity. Room m5 no safe key. Staff cover it up and refuse to call police i asked them 5 times. Then they lie about it an cover it up. When you get robbed call police yourself. Dont get fobbed off . Place evidence in bag for dabs. Be warned . Couldnt wait to get home. Jon
