What not to like? Excellent food, huge comfortable rooms, (with twice daily cleaning), a fireplace in every room. Showers huge with plentiful hot water and great water pressure. Great service, all dietary requirements taken care of. Loved both the Massage and manicure/pedicure. 2 swimming pools with sun loungers (one heated) and lots of little nooks and crannies with sofas and armchairs. Wi Fi works well outdoors, not so good in the rooms (due to the thick walls). But if it is not good in the room, you will get a reception in the bar/pool area. I was on a yoga retreat and the yoga shala is great too. Lots of equipment and plenty of space.. My only complaint was the weather could have been better! But we can hardly blame the venue! Between the thick walls and the fireplaces it was not cold at least. And we did get time on the sun loungers by the pool as well..
A perfect place for a yoga retreat

From arrival to departure we were treated exceptionally well by all the staff. They went out of their way to meet individual dietary needs. The food is absolutely superb. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained by staff. We were on a yoga retreat and the shala is such a beautiful space to practice yoga. The 2 pools are big and clean with plenty of beds and towels. Just fab.
Needs a new lease of life

Beautiful buildings in need of some tender loving care. When it rained the water came through the window frames and under the door. New dynamic management is required as the staff delightful but poorly trained. The menu needs bringing in to the 21st century. Mountain bikes decrepid and lethal. The absentee owner needs to either sell or get involved otherwise with the top class local competition the hotel will not survive. Described by some friends as Faulty Tigmi. For several days we were one of two couples in the hotel - in high season!! Such a shame as the potential is enormous..
Fab friendly perfect even if your not doing yoga!

I loved many things about this hotel: architecture, two pools, and many hidden treasures in terms of balconies, towers, and quiet places to sit and read. This was a luxury hotel without the pretension. Several interlocking courtyards and doorways made everything seem magical. The night blooming jasmine was the most intense I'd ever smelled and it was a comforting scent on the way to our rooms each night. Fantastic Hammam with superb massage. A perfect place to relax and be pampered.
