More about the hotel
Just perfect!
An impromptu visit to the area resulted in us booking this wonderful b&b. The owners are lovely, so welcoming. The whole house is spotlessly clean with a lovely atmosphere. The weather was terrible but we felt so at home and looked after. A pleasure to stay here and we will be back.
Amazing!
What a little Gem we found Such beautiful and peaceful settings The hosts were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect and Cleanliness was A+ ( and in the times we live in at the moment you could see this was a priority and much appreciated) Breakfast was so well prepared, ingredients local and such a variety- keep us going most of the day. Would highly recommend and can not wait to go ourselves for a longer stay. Thankyou!!
Snug and near the steam railway is a lovely rural area
Been completely refurnished. We were welcomed and offered choice of room warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Private path leads right on to the railway platform. Lots of interesting walks nearby. Strongly recommended.
Hidden Gem
We booked this hotel as an overnight stay after staying in Lynmouth as we didn’t want to go home.We came across The Moorlands hotel and booked for the night. We had one double room and one family room (6 of us) within the government of how many in a group and all family. Well from the moment we arrived ( which was in a storm) we fell in love with the place. Marc welcomed us outside in the pouring rain bless him and showed us around and met his wife Desi as well. The rooms were amazing, everything you could ask for and more. Everything was COVID compliant and could not fault anything. I would feel disappointed if someone was to write a review saying anything negative about this place. It was amazing. Marc and Desi were such an amazing, welcoming couple and made us feel so welcome. The grounds were stunning ( we still walked around them even in the pouring rain). We sat in the Lounge which was stunning, comfy, and we just chillled. Marc offered us drinks and we sat and relaxed with some lovely classical music in the background. We asked for recommendation of somewhere for dinner and Marc gave a very good place to eat 5 mins up the road. Breakfast was superb, all very fresh and very tasty. Beautiful setting for breakfast and food was lovely. We will certainly be going back for another visit as it was a truly hidden gem. Thank you
Lovely grounds
We had a lovely stay here when my brother was running a marathon nearby. Really clean, friendly owners and a very hearty breakfast to send us on our way! Lovely little hotel set in a beautiful area. Very nice!
