Everything was okay EXCEPT for the hair on the toilet seat a abs in the shower.
I love the Home2 Suites in Dover Delaware so I booked Home2 Suites here in Silver Spring as a getaway for my sister and I to just be able to have some time to talk and have fun away from our husbands and children. Before covid-19 I always make sure to wipe off the remote control and clean the bathroom before allowing anyone to use either. I am also a girl scout leader so I'm always extra careful when I am at any hotel. I entered the bathroom to clean with my own Clorox wipes there was hair on the toilet it was not mine nor my sisters because my sister had not arrived and that was my first entrance into the bathroom after arriving at the hotel. I proceeded to clean it and thought it was interesting that there was a sticker on the mirror that stated that the room had been clean. After cleaning the toilet I proceeded to clean the controls for the water in the shower and there was hair there. I do understand that if you're cleaning in a rush that you can miss something. However black hair on a white toilet sticks out. Otherwise the hotel was fine. The beds were comfortable and we both slept well. Staff was very nice. Even though our pool reservations somehow got lost, we were allowed to do 20 minutes in the pool. (Due to Covid, you have to make reservations for the pool since only a limited amount of people are allowed in at one time. I would consider giving them a second chance.
Excellent Management
The room was sparkling clean. Housekeepers were excellent. The manager, Scott P., was extremely helpful and competent. Parking is right outside the entrance, so it is easy to bring in your belongings. I think they have outdoor seating for eating as well. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Last Minute Reservation
I was truly amazed by the service I received, even though the online website showed no availability for my next day request, the staff on site was able to accommodate me with no issues at a great price. All the COVID protocols were executed at the highest level along with great service from all the essential staff. Thank you for making my family and I feel safe and welcomed.
One Night Crash
Stayed here for a night with some friends. Room was very clean and new. Digital key worked perfectly allowing me to avoid the front desk completely. Full size dishwasher. Comfortable bedding. TV with Chromecast and all the essential apps. Love 12pm checkout. Yes if you get on the highway side there will be noise since the hotel sits right beside about ten lanes of traffic. Just turn on the dishwasher to fall asleep that’s what we did. Pool is closed due to coronavirus.
Better Stay than Hampton Inn
Excellent stay. I also stayed at nearby Hampton Inn in College Park. Home 2 is definitely is better choice in comparing them. The only thing better at Hampton Inn is their breakfast vs Home 2 individually wrapped sandwiches.
