Mayo Deal
What a super stylish hotel right in the middle of the shopping part of town. We stayed in the here on a dinner b&b package, and absolutely could not fault any part of the place, food, staff, cleanliness. Truly relaxing luxurious place to visit. Spotless clean hotel,just off the roundabout& across from Macdonald's.Within walking distances of Town Park & Memorial Gardens Local walkway ,playground,&Swimming pool.,Ideal base for travelling the nearby Greenway ,Newport,Mullranny,&Achill. The service was very high standard,,got a great welcome on Arrival good Social distance rules been adhered to. The young Looking McGregor in the bar ,was friendly ,&very assured for his years,makes a great Cocktail to boot.The food was delicious &served piping hot.A very relaxing stay,& 1 for future trips on the Greenway,

We have dined here on two occasions - one was for breakfast and the other an evening meal (recently). The restaurant here serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were impressed by the social distancing, food service and guest safety measures being employed. We had the Caesar’s Salad and the bacon and cabbage - lovely local food, all fresh and generous portions. The high point was having a pint of Guinness with the food – well poured and a good head. The hotel is located in the heart of Castlebar Town, with excellent parking, beside the shopping and the Theatre. Recommended.
Exceptional
We were greeted upon our arrival by a very friendly and efficient receptionist. It was a great start to our visit and our room did not disappoint either. It was spacious and gleaming. We were greatly impressed with the Covid-related measures that the Hotel has implemented to ensure the safety of guests. Nothing has been left to chance. All the staff members that we encountered during our stay were courteous and helpful. Indeed the cheerfulness was uplifting. We were booked in on a Bed & Breakfast + Evening Meal package and the food in the restaurant was excellent (as was the service). The hotel is very central and the car parking facility is an added bonus. It is an excellent base from which to explore neighbouring towns such as Westport. We visit the Ellison on a fairly regular basis and this is testimony to its qualities in itself.
Very high quality hotel stay with excellent value for money
Just back from a 3-day stay at this hotel and it was fab. We liked everything about this hotel - decor, spacious rooms, lovely helpful staff and delicious food in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner, great base to explore all of Mayo. Excellent value for money- we will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a lovely break😊
