SHOCKED....Marriott International allows this establishment to carry their name!
Opinión escrita el 3 de Agosto de 2021
Marriott BonVoy website states for this hotel it is "newly renovated". That is false and down right false advertising. Why local Henry County, Ga Building Inspections allows this facility to be open is the bigger question. I fully intend to write the CEO of Marriott about this hotel send pictures to back up my claims and experience.
Yes, Marriott charged us the full price for a 4 day stay.
Where to start:
* Upon arrival had to be moved to another room b/c first room #226 was continuously running; never stopping.
* All ice machines on every floor not working. Had to go down to lobby each morning to get ice.
* Landscaping had not been touched in weeks, maybe longer. Pictures attached. REALLY PEOPLE!
* Trash cans outside overflowing.
* No Breakfast served. Entire bar and restaurant shut down.
*Elevators need cleaning.
*Pool/Spa shut down.
* Room key does not work to enter from outside doors. Have to enter hotel through main lobby.
*Room 201 - AC has carpet in room soaked.
*Mattresses needed replacing months ago. This can include very over used towels/wash cloth.
I could go on and on.
So, why was these conditions not communicated to guest before they booked on hotel website. These conditions were no even disclosed at check in.
CYE Real Estate Development Group, LLC is the owner of this facility and Hotel Equities, Inc is listed in the lobby as Operators.
There are other hotels in this area and on top of that others that are Marriott sites. Why in the heck does Marriott not get in touch with this Management Group and start with some very simply directives is the bigger question.
My last start in this hotel. Buyer Beware!
The Worst Marriott experience EVER!!!

This hotel was the worst. The only reason I’m giving it 1 star is because the bed was okay. We checked in and our room looked like it had been through a lot. Our phone didn’t have buttons, scraped wood, broken/jagged shelf in the shower, and to top it off, we were up from 3-9am off and on because of the broken smoke detectors which beeped continuously. The front desk nonchalantly told us it was because of the construction going on due to a flood last week but none of this was mentioned upon check-in. When the alarm first went off and everyone was out of their rooms, another guest told us that the same thing happened the night before.
We were also with our parents who are 70 and 89 and our three children. We had to get up to catch our flight and are currently exhausted.
RIDICULOUS for a Marriott. Needless to say we won’t be back.
Hotel amenities are not available
Opinión escrita el 12 de Julio de 2021
We selected this hotel based on the available amenities mentioned in the hotel description. We booked through Priceline. After check-in, we were told the restaurant, an indoor pool, and a 24-hour fitness center was not available. Additionally, the bar/lounge, a coffee shop/café, and a snack bar/deli onsite were also not open. Our room was very clean, but the room amenities mentioned on the website indicated bathrobes were available. There were no bathrobes.
The morning after our arrival, the hotel flooded. We were on the first floor and water was coming through the bathroom walls and ceiling. The hotel was understaffed, so my husband and a few other gentlemen had to knock on doors and notify the other guests. Within a matter of minutes, our luggage was soaked.
The fire department was notified, but had a hard time finding the exact location of the main water valve because the hotel manager didn't have a clue what to do or the location of the main water valve. Guests were walking through about 3-4 inches of water and the hotel manager had a horrible attitude about the situation. At one point, she refused to meet with guests and simply retreated to her office. Eventually, members of the fire department had to go to the manager's office and urge her to come out and handle guests and answer the telephone. There was so much chaos and confusion as guests tried to keep their children safe and evacuate the hotel. Again the fire department had concerns about people walking around in the now ankle deep water and the electricity still active.
We were told by the hotel manager that we would be issued a refund, but when we notified Priceline to issue a refund, the hotel manager refused to offer a refund. It took about about two hours of going back and forth with the manager (when we could get her out of her office and at the front desk) before we were issued a refund.
I can't understand how this hotel is still issuing rooms to guests. There was water coming from the ceilings and through the walls! This hotel will need serious renovations before it accepts guests. As a new guest, I would have serious concerns about mold growth. Secondly, this hotel should consider hiring a new front end manager or retraining its current manager. The current manager posed serious health risks to guests by not notifying guests of the hotel flooding and continuing to let guest walk around in water when active electricity to the hotel.
Nice clean hotel, but needs accurate bed descriptions and more staff
Opinión escrita el 15 de Junio de 2021
Hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly and hard working. The cafe was still closed I’m guessing due to no staff. We reserved a 2 queen suite with sofa bed. The sofa bed is only a twin size bed which was fine for our 9 year old, but probably wouldn’t work for a teenager or adult. The two beds are definitely not queens- they are full size. The toilet clogged so we called down for a plunger. It was late and taking a long time so my husband just went down and got it. The front desk lady had a note to get to it she was just swamped with checking people in and had no help. There was not bedding for the sofa bed so we had to go back to the front desk for it too. This hotel will be fine once they get more staff.
Could Be Better!
Opinión escrita el 27 de Mayo de 2021
We recently stayed here for a quick night while visiting Atlanta for business. Overall our stay was just ok! It could’ve been better.
First, let me start of with the positives! The location was really good! It’s right off of I-75 and there are a ton of restaurants at the same exit as this hotel! Location gets a 7/10.
Next, the bed was super comfortable! Definitely one of the most comfortable Courtyard beds I’ve ever slept in! I’d give it a 8/10!
Unfortunately, those were the only positives. Now here are the negatives;
There was an odor in the 4th hallway, it smelled very funky and it just wasn’t the cleanest. It slightly smelled like weed.
It was hard to find a room with good air quality for my autoimmune disorder. Two of the rooms we saw smelled like smoke, another stunk of fresh paint. The room I ended up taking did have a faint paint smell, but that went away quickly thanks to the a/c. It ended up being really nice, it was either room 417 or 418. It overlooked the back of the hotel and was right by the elevator!
The lady at the front desk in the morning was very unfriendly. She didn’t give any sign of good hospitality at all, for a Marriott hotel I was disappointed.
Would I stay here again? I would if I were ever trapped in this area, if not, I would consider staying somewhere elsewhere closer to the city.
