High recommended. This hotel is a great experience , we have been in business and family and work for both . People are very kind . Rooms are super clean . The pool is a bit small but good enough with food and beverage service. We can just complain about the coffee. Really bad. We made a tour in three cities and such hotel should have a better coffee . The breakfast is good with variety . I high recommend it also because the location is premium , close to everything.

Great Location and Outdated Hotel

I stayed at Hotel San Fernando Plaza twice this past year, I decided to write my review at the end of both stays to see if their policies had changed. My first stay was during a 12 day visit in mid October and my second stay was for 4 nights just before Christmas. I reserved a suite to have the opportunity to receive guests and my assistant. When I arrived in October; I had made a reservation with "El Corte Ingles Travel" in Barcelona Spain; and when I arrived they informed me that my reservation wasn't in their system and that the hotel was fully booked for the days I had a reservation and that they only used 3 platforms (Expedia, Booking and Kayak) I informed them that I found that impossible since a lot of people use travel agencies and most travel agencies don't use them. I called the Spanish Reservation Specialist on my reservation and he informed them of the reservation and still the hotel didn't find my reservation, mind you I had paid the stay in full.. about 2500€. I had no choice but to Pay $300 for the night and then deal with the front desk in the morning. Finally in the morning they eventually found the reservation. But still a big headache. I was very unhappy with the condition of the Suite. The furniture "Sofas" were very old and outdated for the price of the room. I was also very upset to learn that if you have guests over even if it's for 2 minutes, the hotel's policy is to charge $100,000 pesos or $20.00 USD per person and add it to the room charge. So it's ridiculous to reserve a suite if you aren't allowed to have visitors. PARKING: I had rented a car during my stay and one evening when I arrived I parked in a space marked for Hotel Guest and in the morning when I went to retrieve my car I found a piece of paper taped to my window informing me by a hotel employee that I was not parked in the correct area. I found that to be extremely inappropriate to have paper taped on my window by any employee of a 5 star hotel. I asked the concierge of the hotel and they informed me that it was the responsibility of the Complex and not the Hotel. I went and spoke to the complex security and they informed me that it was the hotel's parking lot area and therefore I had no choice to then go speak to the Hotel Manager. He said he was sorry for the incident and I stated that if it was for employee parking then it should be marked properly. ((During my stay in December the parking was still not properly marked)).

We booked this hotel because we needed a bigger space due to our kids. Just checked out on September 4th. A lot of what comes up on the review: 1) They double-charged us and then instead of just refunding us asking for tons of information as if it wasn't THEIR MISTAKE. 2) Motorized windows on the room did not work. Tried opening them manually also an issue. 3) Door to our balcony: Also did not work. Listen, just avoid the hassle.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while in Medellin for four days. We absolutely loved it. The service was incredible. From the moment we arrived at the front desk, the bell boys, the service of the restaurant every morning for breakfast and when we went for dinner, and even at the pool. Every interaction we had with the employees of the hotel was wonderful. The room was beautiful, clean and the view was spectacular. It is in walking distance of many restaurants, a mall and the Poblado Park. We also walked to and from the Poblado metro station a few different times. When you need a taxi, the employees are happy to quickly call one for you. I highly recommend this hotel. We will most definitely stay again the next time we come back to Medellin.

Worst hotel I have ever been to in my entire life. Staff is so unfriendly and doesn’t help you with requests to change the room. Our room was suppeer diety!! HAIRS EVERYWHERE, MOLDY, AND IT STINKED LIKE VOMIT 🤮! The Hotel Manager just laughs at you and says if you don’t like it, „piss off“ What the hell?! No service at all. The hotel is 30 years old and the rooms very old and „used“ as well. Don’t stay here! (We left the hotel without our refund)…
