Would recommend, but something needs to be done about the pool
Covid mitigation measures were adhered to most of the time, including in the sauna, where you need to boom a slot to avoid overcrowding. Not so much at the indoor pool area where at one point there were over 25 people, instead of the allowed six. We did draw the attention of staff, but nothing was done about it, so we missed out on the pool. Booked on half board basis. Breakfast is really good, with ample choice - pancakes, english breakfast, continental, omelette, yoghurt, fruit, etc. Dinner was also good, but, most probably because of shortage of staff, we were left unattended to for a very long time. Other than that, the waiting staff who served us throughout the stay were really friendly and accomodating.
Super Stay
We spent a really enjoyable weekend at the Maritim Antonine. Facilities at the hotel are very good, and we felt very safe with the Covid-19 measures in place. The room was super excellent, clean and with breath taking views of the village core and the surrounding country side and sea. We cannot miss out on the good food and service given at the restaurant. We were given a very good choice for breakfast, and the restaurant facilities were available all day. We felt really impressed by the outstanding service of the restaurant staff, particularly by Mr Drago and Mr Vella. Thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one.
Xmas stay
We had a lovely stay every thing was perfect the room was lovely the breakfast was brilliant the evening meal was delicious the staff couldn’t do enough to help you and it was very COVID safe this is one of our favourite places to stay well recommend
excellent stay!
When we arrived at the reception after a long bus ride from the airport the reception alert told us that there was a problem with the system and there was no room left for the night. She had to book us into another hotel nearby. We got a complimentary transfer to the other hotel in Bugibba. Here we stayed for one night and enjoyed a beautiful view of the sea. Since the hotel is situated next to the street and the sea, tourists enjoy the nightlife this city offers. We barely hear any noises so it doesn´t bother us at all. The room was extremely comfortable and super clean. The next day we arrived at our actual hotel. The check-in process was very smooth. The room was a basic double room but was most comfortable, super clean, nicely decorated, featured a balcony and covered all needs. We also took advantage of the room service, which covered all our needs whenever we needed it. In the surroundings were a lot of excellent restaurants like in the hotel. In the evening, we went to the rooftop restaurant, which offered Thai cuisine. It was scrumptious and I highly recommend a try. I can´t remember the name of the waitress but she recommended the most delicious dinner and we are very thankful for that. Furthermore, I have to say that we had a picturesque view of the sea and the city. On the rooftop, we could also enjoy the rooftop pool and bar after an exhausting day of hiking, swimming or sightseeing. To sum up, we had the time of our lives as it was our first holiday abroad with my boyfriend. We were not disappointed. When we return to Malta we will go back!
Beautiful hotel
Stayed here for a week. Room was beautiful. Food was good and spent several nights drinking there due to Covid restrictions. Restaurant staff were excellent - very friendly, helpful and hard working. Igor was great company, chatting every day, and one young lady (didn't get her name) was good fun, having a laugh every night. She worked non-stop! Felt very comfortable in the hotel. Loved the pool area on the roof. Clean, relaxed and great views. There are shops close by which is good as the hotel is on a very steep hill which is heavy going in the heat. However, there are regular buses if required.
