Crummy Old Hotel with High Price Tag

This place looks like it has had a recent… ish. Renovation, but it’s still just a gross old Sheraton in many ways. The light switches and outlets in our room were ancient and gross. The size of the room was rather small but not too bad, However the bathroom is ridiculous. It’s tiny and dark even though the mirror is lit, which makes doing makeup very difficult. I feel like my calves are always hitting the toilet when standing at the sink. The water pressure in the shower is a joke. There is no where to hang your towels except for a few hooks by the door (not in the bathroom). There is no vent in the bathroom. I like the style of most of the decor in the room, but it all has different finishes and feels like a bunch of leftovers. The room smells vaguely of smoke.. The TV only gets a few very basic cable channels (maybe less than 20?).
There is some good: like I said, the general idea of the room is nice, the bed is comfortable, the TV is in a good place, and there is a mini fridge.
Why am I being so hard on this hotel? Because it’s very expensive for what you get. Normally we stay places like Fairfield’s or Residence Inns. They at least twice as clean and nice for half the price. We stayed here only because it was close to where family was staying and we wanted to book with points. In some places I can forgive a hotel for a high price because of location (like San Juan off the cruise docks), but not here.

Kimberly at the front desk is great. Helpful, friendly, very welcoming. Other staff gently smiled as we walked by. The hotel needs a upgrade, our room was worn, carpet had holes, but it was clean. Up the street is some good BBQ. It sure I would stay at this hotel again or suggest it, but the value worked for what we needed, one night is good, two nights I was ready to go.
Pretty decent hotel!

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days and it was a decent stay! The bed was very comfortable and the room was cozy. Due to Covid, there is no free breakfast, but complimentary coffee can be found in the room itself.
The shower/bath in the room was definitely not my favorite. It was old and looked “dirty”... although it might have been the cleaniest that it could be. The hotel is older but slightly renovated.
They didn’t let me know about the $50 deposit when I first checked in. I found out about it the day that I checked out by checking my banking account and looking at reviews on this app.
The staff was kind. I don’t have anything horrible to say, I would stay here again if needed.
WONDERFUL place to stay.

Me and the wife went to Memphis for a small vaca and decided to stay at this hotel. THE BEST choice me made about the whole trip. Very clean and centrally located to just about anything you want to do. The manager Lynnette is super friendly as well as Sharod that works the front desk. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.
Good place for the price - upgrades needed but not too worn

I booked the Four Points as the Marriott two buildings down was almost $600 for two night and this was about half the price.
Certainly not as nice as the Marriott but for the price savings I think it was great. Easy parking and friendly enough staff. Building shows signs of age and could use some upgrades but the decor, tv’s and lobby are nicely appointed. It’s a balance between what I assume is an older building and an attempt to update.
The bed was comfortable but too soft for my liking. AC worked very well. Bathroom was small but not inconveniently so. Room was spacious and fairly isolated from outside noise. I could hear everything in the adjoining room inside but it wasn’t a big deal.
Overall this is not a super fancy place but it’s clean, comfortable and a good price. I would stay here again for sure
