The hotel as a hotel seemed to need a lot of work. The hotel was muggy, humid and had a moldy smell to it. The actual room was dirty. The rooms were big and good size but they were very outdated and dirty. This was just a quick stop after a two week road trip and by far the worst hotel we stayed at.

I want to start by saying the staff was super friendly and the shower had good water pressure. In the world of covid, they also tried to have a decent breakfast (prepackaged varieties). However, I couldn’t wait to get out of our room. It felt very dated and worn down. There was hair on the shower wall, stains on the couch and carpet, and the bathtub didn’t drain well. The room is set up strangely to where the beds are looking at the bathroom and ironing board and guests can’t view the tv. The pool area wasn’t much better- hot tub was like-warm and bubbles weren’t working. It worked for the night, but wouldn’t want to stay longer.
Amazing Customer Service, Kind Staff

The staff of SpringHill Suites went above and beyond to help our family during our stay. As we were taking our things down to the car upon checking out, our beloved cat Paprika vanished. We searched the room top to bottom to no avail. When we alerted the front desk, the entire staff went into action to help us find her. They searched empty rooms, searched outside, posted flyers, and kept checking in with us to ensure her lost status was up to date. After several hours, Paprika revealed herself to be inside the box spring of our original room. We cannot thank the staff of SpringHill Suites enough for their kindness and exceptional efforts to locate our Paprika cat. Five star customer service and a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again, but will leave our cat at home!

We chose this hotel based on previous reviews. Wow, what a mistake. The hotel is filthy and our room was a dirty, stained mess!!! The lampshades are stained with an unknown substance, carpet stained with white powder left in the corners, yellow towels, moldy shower, and the walls looked as if someone threw up all over them. If covid is a concern please avoid this place as the room was not cleaned before our arrival. We are still confused as to how they are still allowed to fly the Marriott flag. The girl who checked us in was not friendly and informed us of the dangerous area we were in and to be careful. I'm not sure why as we enjoyed Memphis and had to issues with the city or the people. Everyone was so friendly. Our next stay will be at the Home2Suites that was a stone throw away. It looked well cared for and in much better shape. Read my previous reviews for other stays. We are not picky people and are not turned off by old properties. But age is not what hurts this place. They have a serious problem with housekeeping and maintenance.
No mask? No problem! Until you get Covid.

My family arrived around 9pm on Saturday, Nov 7th. There was a group of 12 or so adults hanging out together inside the lobby area. Only 2 had masks. My family now has Covid. We have been wearing masks and socially distancing since March. We assumed, incorrectly, that a Marriott would be following Covid protocols to protect their guests. Sadly, not so.
