The White Hart Hotel

Booked for 2 nights, wish we could have stayed longer, fantastic hosts, friendly locals, good beer, nice room, didn't try restaurant as they had a limited menu due pandemic. Thanks guys for making us feel welcome. Steve and Sian.

Recently stayed about a mile from the pub, perfect walking distance for us and our dogs. No you don’t have the extensive bar stock you would in a huge bar, but it had a good variety covering all tastes. The staff were friendly and chatted to us about things to do locally. We also found the locals there really friendly and helpful. They were all social distancing and made sure we had space outside and were happy to chat and help, giving us recommendations and taxi numbers.

We had our own room; which was like an apartment in itself. We were allowed in our room earlier then expected; which was good as we needed a rest. The owners and eventually the locals were very nice and polite...it was so refreshing to speak to like minded people and generally get out of the city way of life. The food was banging; dinner and breakfast. All in all 10/10

we stayed in this are last week and with all the concern about people traveling from outside their local area we were treated as if we were locals by the owners Suzy and John and the great locals we look forward to visiting this lovely pub again

I didn't stay here but was very surprised by the unfavourable reviews. I spent several nights chatting with the locals, an intelligent bunch with whom you can be sure of an interesting conversation. It turns out that the accommodation here is exceptionally cheap as is the good breakfast; the Landlord has plans for refurbishment and in my view it is churlish to complain about minor present inconveniences which should be overlooked considering the extraordinarily good value. I shall return with my dog Lucy and book a room
