A comfortable place to stay
This is the second time I have stayed here. The staff speaks Spanish and English. A well located hotel , walking distance from many restaurants and coffee shops. A extremely reasonable hotel rate. The rooms are clean , beds are firm. My only negative comment, is the towels are old and have holes in them. A minor complaint, I will stay here again.
One night sat
Basic but clean and tidy room bathroom etc also clean and tidy as we were a family had adjoining room which was great for us. We paid for breakfast in the morning had quite a good choice of food etc everything looked fresh staff were very friendly Hotel okay for a short stay and in the centre so handy for everything
Amazing Visit!
We had the time of our lives in the Master Suite at Hotel el Espanol!! The front desk lady, Estibaliz, went up and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable. Her smile is beautiful and infectious. From storing our luggage to explaining how things worked....in English so we could fully understand, she was amazing! 10 star rating for Estibaliz, we will most defintely be back! The Master Suite is absolutely beautiful. It is huge with a full sectional, coffee table, king size bed, table and chairs, fridge, coffee maker, jetted soaker tub and full size walk in shower. It was a dream to stay there. Thank you to all the staff including the wonderful Bell boys that we met and enjoyed speaking with. Again we WILL be back!!!
Don't be fooled by the 5 stars on the front door
This is not a 5 star hotel, with any stretch of the imagination. The pool was small and didn't look clean. No restaurant to speak of, and definitely no alcohol !! Fortunately there are decent eateries within walking distance. Staff were not very helpful either.
Good hotel, friendly staff. Clean.
Overall after reading many of the reviews I was expecting much more for the money. Don’t get me wrong, the property is fine but I think I little overpriced and a little over hyped review wise. The pluses, it was very clean and safe, my air worked great and there wasn’t much street noise but there was some. The cons I’d say would be the value for the money. They rooms and bathrooms though clean, were dated. The gym was a joke and the pool was nice but everyone entering and leaving the hotel looked right out into it which felt a little strange. Not a bad hotel by any means and had it been less expensive, a good value for the money.
