One of the best hotels ever

Upon arriving after a long drive we called the hotel early to see if we could check in before check in time at 3 p.m. and they were fine with that. The desk attendant at night, Kim, was very kind. My daughter was coming in the next night and Kim was able to get my daughter on the same floor not far from our room which was much appreciated. Monica, the desk attendant in the morning was so personable and all smiles. Diamond, another desk attendant also was a tremendous help. The hotel is very clean and extremely quiet. We stayed in room 228 which is the last room on the 2nd floor and that room is the best. I can't say enough about the professionalism and kindness we were given during our stay. I would definitely stay here again nd highly recommend this hotel.

Great family hotel. We were there with family and we were able to room closely together. The staff were very friendly. I didn’t get my rewards water, it that was okay. I would stay again. Mall and shopping are nearby.

Awesome Customer Service
Linen was an issue did not report, it smelled very musky and soiled.
Clerks were very professional and friendly
Shop petite was stocked and convenient

We stopped by Home2Suites very last minute. We were driving and it was really late, we realized we wouldn't arrive to downtown Chicago until after midnight so decided to stop here for the night. The hotel is new and clean but the staff really made it a fantastic stay. Ms. Serrano was very kind, cheerful and went above and beyond solving a problem. She really is phenomenal and I think her leadership, energy and kindness brings out the same qualities in the rest of the staff.
I booked at 9:30 pm via the Hilton website. I called and let them know we would be arriving after midnight and asked them to please not release our room. They were very nice but when looking for the reservation they said I had reserved multiple rooms which was odd because my confirmation said only 1 room. She said she would fix it. When we arrived it went very smoothly and they were expecting us.
In the morning though I realized Hilton had put a hold on my card for 2 rooms. I talked to the Manager, Monica Serrano, who reassured me they would only charge me for 1 room. I still felt uneasy about driving away and hoping the other room wouldn't get charged. I also didn't want to spend the morning on the phone with the credit card company . Ms Serrano said she would call the credit card company and ask them to release the hold for the extra room. True to her word when I checked out she had called. She also said they had us for 3 rooms! She fixed the error and I greatly appreciate her taking the time to make the call and follow through especially because I could see it was a busy morning.
I did like that there was 2 washers and dryers in a central location that worked. They are on the first floor next to the lobby so you can relax while you wait rather than going down a hall. Also, I haven't had great luck this summer with hotels having working washers and dryers so I was really relieved they both were working, clean and seemed new.
The breakfast was standard but again the staff was cheerful and upbeat. There was an array of food (waffles, eggs, yogurt, biscuits with gravy, fruit). This was nice because due to COVID not all hotels are providing breakfast.
Comfortable, Home away from Home

I travel much for work through out the year, and I always attempt to stay at Home2 Suites, in Merrillville, In. due to the fact of the cleanliness, and service, from the front desk, I usually see Diamond, and Tiffany, along with the Manager, Rema, to whom I have grown to appreciate her over the years, and I know she will always accommodate my stay. These lady's do take care of us travelers and we always depend on them to make my stay, at home. I do have several employees, that I have recommended to stay at this location, and they have grown fond of these ladies as well. Keep up the good accommodations and service.
