Okayish

Reviewed 21 january, 2023

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. It's an ok hotel. The rooms are okayish but the breakfast is not that great. I'm disappointed by the photos uploaded for this hotel on this site as this is definitely not the caliber of rooms we stayed in on either of our visits (in June 2019 and December 2022) quite a pity as the rooms in the pics here is definitely not what we got on either visists. (We had not chosen to stay in this hotel we were booked here through the agency that made the arrangements for us) Anyway the nice thing is that this hotel is 15 minutes out of Venice by train and very close to the train station.

A great cheap find!

Reviewed 1 january, 2023

Booked with loveholidays. I can’t really fault the hotel for what I paid. The hotel lobby, reception, breakfast room, sofas, computer area are all modern. The rooms are a little outdated but if your in Venice all day then all you are doing is sleeping and showering there. All people in reception were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and adequate. The food in soul kitchen was delicious. You have the train station opposite or bus stop outside so great for transportation to Venice lagoon. Tips: 1. take a multi socket as only 1 plug by desk. 2. Mini fridge is not free, but only couple euros per drink 3. Buy a 1/2/3 day pass (at airport or train station) access to vaperettos, buses & trams. The trains are separate but again couple of euros. 4. Venice is on par with England prices for meals. Coffee shops cheaper! €1.70 for cappuccino. (San Marco square & main tourist hotspots are expensive) 5. You can share a gondola (5 people max In gondola) on ‘get your guide’ online and pay around £28 per person if on a budget or in a couple or solo. It’s with Venice tours and you get audio commentary too. Really enjoyed my visit to Venice and I hope to return to this hotel again soon.

NOISY OUTDATED HOTEL

Reviewed 11 december, 2022

Very noisy hotel- do not stay here if you prefer a quiet night's sleep! The rooms were very outdated which was a great shame as the entrance is grand but when you open the door; it is very disappointing. The rooms are stuffy, warm and the views are not desirable. The bathroom desperately needs updating as it is all rusting with a drain in the middle that gives off an awful smell. Please be assured that the mini bar is NOT free- unfortunately this wasn't made clear and got a charge at the end! The English is poor from the staff- so expect them to be rude and not really go the extra mile to help- (travelling from the UK). The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the air con doesn't work- if you have a 'standard room'. The breakfast is very average with little choice. The location was ideal for the bus and train station into Venice as the stops were right outside. The area Mestre itself isn't pretty especially at night- so be careful if you are a solo traveller. Overall, I just would not recommend this hotel. It looks nothing like the photos and the services they say they provide, just simply isn't true. It was just a disappointing experience- please avoid.

Perfect location!

Reviewed 19 november, 2022

Perfect location when visiting Venice!! Clean rooms and great full breakfast. Staff was very helpful and accommodating too! I appreciated the taxi service they set up for you to and from the airport, was a great time saver to have someone there at the airport waiting for us! Even for 40Euros, the flat rate is 35Euros so definitely worth the extra money.

Hotel opposite Venezia Mestre train station

Reviewed 13 november, 2022

Hotel rooms were bigger than expected with all facilities, very clean with strong wifi, breakfast had a huge spread and location was very good opposite the train Venezia Mestre train station on the left hand side of train going towards Venezia S Lucia, only problem was air conditioning not upto the mark and had to keep the window slightly open
