Expensive old hotel.

Reviewed 17 november, 2021

The hotel has a beautiful view of the lake, and the lobby is visually appealing as is the bar and restaurant area. That is where the beauty stops. The halls and guest rooms are old red and gold which is an indication of how the rest of the room is! Old! The bed was so uncomfortable and had a manufactured date of 5/18/2006! I asked about switching rooms to something a little nicer and was told that the franchiser operator sold the property which held up a remodel. Then there was a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and then Hurricane Ida came through. I believe there were delays from COVID-19 and the hurricane, but my mind is blown that the hotel blames two years of issues as the cause of the less than stellar setup.

Not worth the $$$

Very disappointed in the room. Shabby room decor. Chips, abrasions and dinks all over the furniture. Bathroom was laughable - tiny floor mat, tissue thin towels, zero counter space. Terrible self parking. OUTRAGEOUS room rate. Horrible quality for the money. Will never return.

STAY AWAY

Reviewed 9 august, 2021

stay away from this place at all cost I have stayed at Marriott's for may year matter fact i have stayed in one year 300 days. This was the worst ever they don't tell you at the time of reservations that you will have to clean your own room daily..I check into this Hotel after I have paid, and secured everything on my card the front desk person says"we dont have maid service so you will have to request towels if you need them, and tidy up your own room..ARE YOU KDDING ME I have never in my life traveling to 22 different courtiers been told that, but they dont lower the price...At worst in all my stays iv been told "we do room cleaning by request" this dump did not give that option STAY AWAT UNLEES YOU LIKE TO CLEAN YOUR OWN ROOM WHILE ON VACATION OR BUSSINESS

Wonderful Hotel and location!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay and experience at the Marriott. The room was very clean and well kept! Our room was on the 16th floor! With view of the Lakeway which was amazing!!! Front desk and concierge was wonderful…always eager to help and happy to answer any questions about places to dine and things to do in the area. The M Club breakfast was ok not many choices. It’s a self serve. Probably due to the COVID 19 restrictions. Right now New Orleans has a mandatory mask in place. You must wear your mask in public places.

Less than impressive

Reviewed 3 july, 2021

The lobby is nice but the hotel rooms are old and could use an update. The queen size beds are more like full/twin. The service was subpar. The don't clean the rooms, which i know is maybe a result of covid. But they won't bring you fresh towels. It's basically self serve once you check in. You are basically forced to valet. It cost more to self park and valet is slow. Im pretty sure you can find better in this price point. I wouldn't suggest.
