the best Hampton I have ever stayed in...
I spent four nights in Mexico City and as I wanted to stay in a central area my choice was the Hampton. As I am Diamond with Hilton I usually try to stay with them even the benefits at Hampton hotels are usually just a drink and snack. The hotel is in a primary location with close access to metro and metro bus which brings you everywhere. It is the same metro bus running from the airport, no need for a cab there. The area is nice to explore with the main historic sites and food options everywhere around. I traveled during COVID times and Mexico City just went to red which means only take away food offered and only essential stores open. But that was fine as I didn’t want to shop. I arrived late in the evening and the guy at the reception was very very welcoming. My room was upgraded to their largest room which was a suite. Even though it is not an official benefit for Diamond, they did it! I received further a welcome chocolate and was asked to fill out a breakfast form with various items to choose from. As they are not allowed to operate the breakfast area, breakfast is delivered to your room at a time you indicate on your breakfast form. Other Hamptons just give a bag with a cereal bar and a water, here you got waffles and scrambled eggs! I requested room service for every day, you need to indicate a specific time and it was just done. The hotel is located in a old building with rooms facing into the inner courtyard, not sure if I would like this kind of room. My room was located on the first floor with windows facing to a road crossing on two sides. The interior wasn’t the newest but it matched the overall picture of the hotel. The windows weren’t sound proof because of the old building but I am not sensitive. If you are, I guess you can easily ask for earplugs. Overall I need to say, this is by far the best Hampton hotel I have ever stayed. Their service was especially in these times outstanding! And the hotel was very affordable. When I come to CDMX again, I will most probably stay here again!
A AMAZING HOTEL
This is simply a amazing hotel in a amazing location in the city. To make it better the staff makes every day here feel special. The room on the 5th flloor had amazing access to the garden on the roof. The breakfast was okay and kinda hit or miss what they would serve but there are plenty of awesome places nearby. In all this hotel made our first time in the city so amazing.
Treated like family
I was impressed with everything about this hotel. The front desk is polite and helpful. Concierge Edgar is top notch. He made sure to help us with restaurant recommendations and reservations, gave us a great overview of sightseeing options, and hooked us us with an amazing tour guide, Raul. The bellman, Edgar, also looked out for us. He was always ready to greet us with a smile as we came and went. Raúl took us on several trips, Cholula, Puebla, Teotihuacán, and Xochimilco. His van was comfortable, clean, and spacious. He took our interests into account when visiting various locations. It felt like being shown around by family. The rooms are very comfortable and housekeeping went above and beyond. Our shoes were always organized, and our toiletries were nicely organized for us on a towel. She even made a cute animal out of a towel to the delight of my 4 year old child. Breakfast was delicious. I loved being able to enjoy local favorites like tortillas, huevos con chorizo, beans, and café de olla. I left with many beautiful memories from the staff and hope to return someday soon.
Great visit to Mexico City,
We stayed at the Hampton in the Historic District (Zocolo) and were happy to find out out close we were to so many of the sites. It made it easy to walk to so many attractions as well as some of the archeological diggings. The city is vibrant with people and places to visit. There is an amazing bakery right across the street. Two restaurants are right in the hotel. The breakfast has a great selection of food to choose from. My only complaint is that the coffee in the containers was lukewarm a lot of the time. But other than that we had a nice variety. Every morning there were croissants too. The staff here is very helpful and the hotel is extremely safe. All in all we recommend the Hampton.
First visit to Mexico City
Great place to stay, I loved how the hotel looks like. Excellent location. I loved how I could go to the Zocalo walking. Breakfast was good. The staff was great they were very professional. Angelica and Alexis was great, very nice and helpful, they took care of everything. I am already planing to go back to the City and of course I will book this hotel.
