Great family apt option

Reviewed 7 august, 2021

We loved the excellent location and wonderful beds. If you are looking for a big bed for you and your spouse and twin beds in a separate room for your kids, this is a great value. Lovely old apartment building, lots of stairs, good wifi in room 403, a bit loud from the restaurant below. Staff very helpful and are there 24-7 to call you a cab or make recommendations. Book on the hotel website for the covid deal, much cheaper than other sites.

Wonderful Hospitality

Reviewed 26 july, 2021

We had a wonderful time at your hotel. The staff was amazing. Carolina greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. We loved the look and feel of the hotel and especially the location. At times it was a bit loud with the guests or patrons of the restaurants downstairs but completely understandable. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality!

Feels like home

Reviewed 1 march, 2021

I went to Mexico City together with my sister. Our plan was to stay for a whole week meaning that we were looking for options that make you feel home and Izta 54 was the perfection option for it! The location is amazing. You will be located at one of the trendiest spot in the City and it is surrounded by nice restaurants and cafes. Indoors, the room was also charming. It is kind of loft style. In the room you will have a nice living kitchen, a coach for visits. The staff amazing. Always helping and in a good mood. Next time I have to come to Mexico City I will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable choice in a great neighborhood

Reviewed 5 january, 2021

I spent just over a week here in a queen suite, which is basically a small studio apartment. The bed was quite comfortable, the shower hot and with good pressure, the WiFi blazing fast, great TV channels, and staff all helpful, friendly, and accommodating -- quick to resolve a mistake about my room type and provide missing shower amenities. I loved opening my window and listening to the street musicians and happy people below dining in the Japanese restaurants. The narrow residential street is lively, but quiet at night and I slept very well. The hotel is an old art deco apartment building, so expect lots of charm, but no elevator. It's important to understand that this isn't a full-service hotel, but a hotel/hostel -- dorms on the roof -- so don't expect all the amenities of a proper hotel. This isn't the Hilton, but a very pleasant guest house-type hotel. Neighborhood is truly fantastic. Lush, green, walkable, transit-accessible, and tons of places to eat/drink/sit/walk/enjoy. For improvement: duvet covers could use some bleach, the rooms could use a bit of dusting, and I'd replace the coffee beans/grinder/French press with high-quality instant coffee or pre-ground coffee. It's a cute idea to provide beans and a grinder, but most people traveling probably don't want to go through the hassle of grinding beans, preparing coffee, and then cleaning everything up -- or leaving a mess for the housekeeper. In any event, a great stay. Highly recommend.

Comfortable low-key hotel in Condesa

Reviewed 26 december, 2019

We stayed at Izta 54, a low-key guest house, in the La Condesa neighborhood for a week in early December and can recommend it highly. In an Art Deco building, our small studio had some lovely details. High ceilings and lovely tire work, and a view of street trees out the window.. The people working at the hotel were really nice, but it's not full service, so don't expect that. They provided coffee beans, which were welcome, but the grinder was a lot of work. The wifi wasn't super strong, but I'd still stay here again. La Condesa is a quiet neighborhood, so it was a nice retreat after venturing out to the busier part of the city. A great higher-end restaurant, MeroToro, is right around the corner.
