Oceanview & Balcony 1430
We had to wait for our room to be ready "after 3pm". Got to the room at around 3:20pm. Thinking they were cleaning it, only to find a filthy microwave, dirty bathroom sink, only 1 fork, no sink strainer/plug for the kitchen sink. Went down to front desk and they sent someone right away to clean the areas and they found only 1 more fork for us. It took a few more days to get the sink plug so we could do dishes properly. Room # 1430. It was different than the pictures of the one we booked, but it had the oceanview and balcony. Lots of storage space and drawers. The shower had nice hot water and good pressure. The bathroom sink was a bowl style that had a leak and a slow drain. Our host was very quick at communicating with us. When we needed something he sent someone to help us. It just would have been nice if they spoke English. The pool was very nice. They didn't have very long hours for the Tiki Bar. Nice and close to the beach. Easy entrance back and forth.
Dreadloc Chris review
My first impression was pretty disappointed, the room looked fairly outdated with old ikea paintings and furniture, I was quite surprised to see a toaster after I bought bread and hazelnut spread to make lunch so I don’t have to spend money on food. Although when I went to toast my bread it started smelling burnt then started smoking. I had to walk over 2 miles just for good food. I then examined the bathroom where I found dried up caulk not even cleaned, I was especially disappointed in the caulk job around the sink and also disappointed with the grout job along the bathroom. The toilet paper was reversed (paper coming from underside) which disappointed my roommate. The bathtub was falling apart and very old. I was highly upset when I had chocolate milk (dirty water) come out the shower not to mention the shower being as confusing as Rubik’s cube. I also did not get conditioner which didn’t allow me to take a proper clean shower. Now getting into the main living space where there are at least 2 useless doors leading to walls obstructing the beautiful walls. Not to mention if I opened the windows to assert dominance I would loose my deposite of 200$+. I was highly upset with the wall outlets when they were all of poor quality and would barley hold my charger in or be far from the beds. Not even all the lights work in my room along with a small tv. Moving to the rest of the hotel the lobbies smell like loud gas. The hot tub was non existent which is what I look forward to most in a hotel. Overall this hotel is very old and in need of a remodel, work, and effort.
Third world standards
If you're from a third world country you should feel right at home here. most everything was run down and half of the things were not working in our apartment. They gave us minimal cooking utensils, minimal cutlery, and minimal plates. We had to do the dishes after Evey meal just to have enough of everything that we needed for the next meal and we are only a family of 4! They did not include dush degerbent or even kitchen towels. The AC barely worked, a bunch of the lights didn't work, and the back door did not close properly making it very difficult to slide open or closed, and always had a little gap where hot air would blow in thrpugh. It would remain open no matter what we did. they came in and tried to fix some of the stuff but overall nothing really got fixed. After I complained, they gave us some extra towels but there were no extra blankets or sheets etc. The best part that made it doable was the proximity to the beach. At least our apartment was within steps of the beach. Also the free valet was nice to have. So would I ever want to stay there again? No not really. It felt like all this host cared about was their bottom line, not our comfort.
comfy, affordable, parking and beach front
I felt like in a resort, lovely pool with amazing view also like that is beach front so you can just jump from the pool to the ocean and back. great space in room, clean and the employees are awesome and very helpful! this place is one of the my best staying in Miami. will be back some day.
Do not stay here
This place is so dated & in desperate need of an upgrade. They charge a $45 cleaning fee for cleaning the room after you check out but don’t clean the room during your stay no matter how long your stay is. There was hair all over the tub when we checked in. Both housekeeping & the front desk refused to swap out our dirty towels & washcloths and expect guests to use the same towel & washcloth for your entire stay, even if you stay for a full week. This is unsanitary & disgusting.
