Worst hotel ever.

This place stinks, stayed here on our way to Bonaire and our return from Bonaire. Breakfast had no milk for cereal, no pastry, dry scrabbled eggs. Hotel shuttle was supposed to be every 30 minutes, and was not. You have to call the hotel and ask to be picked up. Needed a ride back to airport in the morning and hotel shuttle was not running Asked them to call us a cab and was told they couldn't get one, because no one was answering phones. Then was told taxi would be there in 10-12 minutes, they never showed up. We had to download Uber and get a ride. Will never stay here again.

This hotel is in very poor condition. The faucet in the bathroom sink would not allow me to adjust the water temperature. The toilet would not fully flush properly. The bed was made with the sheets on the top of the comforter. I had to take the bedding off and remake it properly. There are other hotels in the area that will be far better.
A Very Rough Stay, Frustratingly Poor

I had a rough couple of stays here on two different occasions this past week. Both times, I called just after 2pm and needed a pickup from the airport but they don’t have a driver working from 2-3pm in the middle of the business day, which is a huge oversight on their part when you’re an airport hotel. I asked if I could take Uber and if the hotel would reimburse it but they would not, so I had to wait over an hour for the shuttle. The carpet in the room hadn’t been vacuumed, with crumbs and dog food on it. I had to have someone come and vacuum again. The towel rack apparently had been broken from someone setting something too heavy on it, and was tilted down at a 45 degree angle. Instead of fixing it, all the towels were just set on the counter. And there was toothpaste or shaving gel on the counter from the last guest so you know nothing was cleaned very well. Instead of a shampoo bottle, housekeeping put two bath gel bottles in the shower. Gee, thanks. The large fluorescent light above the sink was burned out. And the phones have the incorrect room number listed on them, which does no good should there be an emergency. The breakfast is very meager. Only eggs and sausage. That’s it. Seriously. Nothing more. And somebody has to serve you, which made for a line 20 people deep. Social distancing…ha! Coffee and juice to drink, but no cereal, yogurt, or pastries like the Holiday Inn Express chain typically has. Florida has been open for months with no Covid restrictions, but this hotel insists on keeping their dining area closed. So many service issues and shortcomings. I’m not specifically trying to beat this hotel up, but they need to take serious note and figure out how to improve their product.

HOTEL FROM HELL

The over all rating should be MINUS 3! We picked this because we needed a place to stay in between flights. It was close to the airport and had a shuttle. Big mistake! It took over 30 minutes of constant calling to get them to answer when we were waiting at the airport for the shuttle. Check in was challenging for the person at the front desk as he spoke little English or Spanish. We had to make an early connection so he told us to be in the lobby at 4:30 the next morning for the shuttle, which we were. No one was at the desk. The shuttle was parked and we thought would leave soon, but the driver never came. We were finally told by another guest that the shuttle did not run on Saturdays! If the airport would have been busy, by the time we got there we would have missed our flight. The room was filthy. I doubt they had vacuumed behind the bed and night stand for years. The shower would not drain. And the icing on the cake was they charged my credit card for an additional $34.75! I just called to find out what that was for and could not get an answer...other then they will refund it. I can't understand why the Holiday Inn chain would allow their name to be tarnished like this. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
