The exceptional beachfront location of this landmark hotel in the heart of Miami's South Beach and the Deco Districts provides a home away from home for business, leisure and international travellers. The hospitality, sun, sand and surf for which the hotel is famous has attracted guests from all over, popularizing the hotel to almost mythical status in the 1940s, '50s, and '60s. It has served as a home to the Miss America and Miss Universe Pageants as well as a home away from home for some of America's biggest stars, helping it to achieve the reputation of being Miami Beach's finest oceanfront...More details

Amazing hotel staff are very polite. As we arrive we were great by the door man who helped us with our bags and met with Fredrick, Antonio, Surfey at Check and was upgraded to a suite. Property has many amenities and happy hour from 6-7pm

My friends and I stayed at Shelborne for a bachelorette party weekend and it was the perfect place to stay! The pool and beach area are great amenities. Delisa was extremely helpful with the check in process and made sure we could have our rooms next to each other. She also gave great restaurant and bar recommendations! I will definitely stay at the Shelborne again next time in Miami.
Spiky service throughout

Stayed as a family of 5 just before Christmas 2021. My family’s first experience of travelling in the USA, but I had talked up how great hotel service was generally in the USA from years of business travel. Sadly this place bucked the trend - I can honestly say we had one of the grumpiest, surliest welcomes ever at check-in, which got my back up from day 1. This general attitude to service continued throughout our stay, everything was too much trouble, with things always done without a smile and with the minimum amount of grace. Before check out I explained I needed to pick up a hire car, and would need to park outside the hotel to retrieve my luggage from the room near the back of the hotel, and was told I had not a minute over 20 minutes to do this before they charged me a $25 parking fee. It’s as though they want to find ways to wind up guests! If you can live with this the amenities are ok, and the location on South Beach is good. I can’t recommend though, as this was the weakest link of 6 hotels we stayed in on our Florida road trip.

One of the best interactions I’ve had with a hotel employee and I personally work in a hotel as a front desk manager. I’m very impressed with the way he answered every question I had and was welcoming and kind.
Great staff some issues

From the front desk to to the staff on the beach, all were very helpful and friendly. Nice large pool, but keep in mind dj at pool on weekends. Great beach setup with chairs, towels, etc. During our stay, however, there were problems with both elevators, a strong smell from the ac in the rooms.
