I was on a solo road trip over a long weekend in November 2021 and had the opportunity to spend a Thursday night at this Hampton Inn in Michigan City. All in all, I was very impressed with it! (I stay at a lot of Hamptons, and this was probably one of the best Hamptons I'd ever stayed at.) I arrived at around 9 p.m. on Thursday night. My check-in process went relatively smoothly, except for the fact that the staff member checking me in forgot to offer me a guest bag with bottled water and candy. Not a huge deal because I was able to retrieve those items in the morning. My room (#426) was spacious, clean, and comfortable... no problems whatsoever with that. I appreciated the business center because I was able to use one of the computers there to surf the Internet, and the breakfast that was offered at the hotel was amazing. This property also has an indoor pool and hot tub that I wished I would have had time to use. It looked very nice and inviting. Overall, this hotel had a modern look and was very nice. One thing, though, that was disappointing was that they seem to allow their front-desk staff to smoke cigarettes directly in front of the front entrance. It's rather unprofessional and kinda nasty for those of us who don't like smoke and don't want to walk immediately past someone (especially a staff member) smoking if we're just entering or leaving the building. If a staff member needs to smoke, it should be done near a rear door where guests aren't coming or going. Smoking should especially not be allowed immediately near the front entrance. That was really the only turn-off about this hotel and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5. Besides this smoking issue, everything else about this hotel was fantastic and I'd love to stay here again someday.

We always stay at Hamptons when available. This one was expensive and disappointing. Room temp hard to regulate. Breakfast disappointing. On the positive side it was near enough to Four Winds where we went for a concert.

Booked a handicap room with walk in shower well ahead of arrival. Upon arrival was told by desk person the hotel did not have such a room. I knew they did since I had stayed there a few months earlier. So took my chances with grab bar in tub. Also was not impressed with the apparel of front desk staff. The room and bed were very nice. The housekeeping staff were very cordial and the front desk girl the morning of checkout seemed very competent and efficient

So this place was not very clean… dirty room. Ants in the beds. Green pool. Very disappointed. Not worth the almost $200 for a dirty room. And barely a continental breakfast at best. I’ve seen this at lower quality motels. I would expect more from a Hilton.

Very clean room comfortable and relaxing moment respectful front Desk good coffee. Me and my family had a wonderful time can’t wait to go back. One of the favorite hotel in the city. As a diamond member I enjoy.
